Regional homogeneity changes in patients with primary insomnia

The study aimed to explore the regional spontaneous activity changes in primary insomnia (PI) patients.Based on the resting-state fMRI datasets acquired from 59 PI patients and 47 healthy controls, a two-sample t-test was performed on individual normalized regional homogeneity (ReHo) maps.

Real-time maximally stable homogeneous regions

In this paper, we present the concept of maximally stable homogeneous regions (MSHR). MSHR are conceptually very similar to maximally stable extremal regions but can be segmented in images with an arbitrary number of channels. The computation of the presented MSHR relies on the construction of a quasi-flat zone hierarchy.

Estimation of homogeneous regions for segmentation of textured images

In this paper a novel method for the unsupervised segmentation of textured images is presented. Textures are modeled as spatial interactions between pixels. Thus, a certain window size is required to extract texture features and to estimate texture boundaries by using the features.

Segmentation of Distinct Homogeneous Color Regions in Images

In this paper, we present a novel algorithm to detect homogeneous color regions in images. We show its performance by applying it to skin detection. In contrast to previously presented methods, we use only a rough skin direction vector instead of a static skin model as a priori knowledge.
