Greening Local Economies: Nature Parks as Instruments for Sustainable Regional Development
ABSTRACT The proliferation of Nature Parks in Europe and the change in the function of these areas has brought forth questions about the meaning and extent to which Nature Parks encourage practices for regional sustainable development. As such, research into this subject is ongoing. Since the creation of the first Nature Park in Europe some five or six

In a randomized clinical trial, we test the potential of combined nicotinamide (NAM) and pyridoxine (PN) to improve muscle recovery through muscle stem cell (MuSC) activity. Daily oral NAM and PN supplementation after high intensity muscle contractions enhances MuSC activation and differentiation, and accelerates muscle regeneration, providing new ...

Bioenergy Cropping Reduces the Spatiotemporal Scaling of Soil Bacterial Biodiversity
Consistent with patterns observed in plant and animal communities, soil bacterial communities exhibit significant species–time–area and phylogenetic–time–area relationships independent of nested structure. Bioenergy cropping significantly reduces the spatiotemporal scaling rates, particularly in sandy loam soils.
