3D Automated Segmentation of Bronchial Abnormalities on Ultrashort Echo Time MRI: A Quantitative MR Outcome in Cystic Fibrosis

open access: yesJournal of Magnetic Resonance Imaging, Volume 63, Issue 4, Page 1190-1200, April 2026.
ABSTRACT Background Cystic fibrosis (CF) monitoring relies on computed tomography (CT), but ultra‐short echo time MRI (UTE‐MRI) offers a radiation‐free alternative. However, its clinical adoption is hindered by the laborious and subjective manual analysis, which prevents standardized quantification of bronchial abnormalities.

Association between temporal lobe cortical NODDI measures and plasma biomarkers

open access: yesAlzheimer's &Dementia, Volume 21, Issue S2, December 2025.
Abstract Background Plasma neurofilament light chains (NfL) and glial fibrillary acidic protein (GFAP) are blood‐based biomarkers of axonal injury and astrocytic activation, respectively, that are elevated in those with Alzheimer's disease (AD) and mild cognitive impairment (MCI) relative to cognitively unimpaired (CU) individuals.

Activism risk and corporate self‐regulation: Investigating how anti‐SLAPP laws impact firms' institutional corporate social performance

open access: yesStrategic Management Journal, Volume 47, Issue 3, Page 831-859, March 2026.
Abstract Research Summary This research investigates how firms attempt to preempt activism before it mobilizes into an active threat. Employing a difference‐in‐differences design, we examine the quasi‐exogenous enactments of laws that prevent Strategic Lawsuits Against Public Participation (anti‐SLAPP laws) in the United States.

The Immune‐Autonomic Interface in Aging: Baseline Immune Profile Shapes Cardiac Autonomic Response to Exercise

open access: yesAging Cell, Volume 25, Issue 3, March 2026.
In 83 older adults, baseline lymphocyte phenotypes quantified by flow cytometry predicted the magnitude and direction of HRV shifts during a 2‐min step test and recovery. Bayesian models show that the immune landscape shapes exercise autonomic trajectories in a domain‐specific manner, revealing heterogeneity in physiological resilience.
