Summer Outdoor Thermal Perception for the Elderly in a Comprehensive Park of Changsha, China

open access: yesAtmosphere, 2022
Thermal perception is an important factor affecting the usage of outdoor spaces (e.g., urban parks). The elderly are the main visitors of urban parks; however, few studies investigated the thermal perception of the elderly in urban parks in summer ...

Survival Outcomes and Complications Among Canadian Children With Retinoblastoma: A Population‐Based Report From CYP‐C

open access: yesPediatric Blood &Cancer, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Purpose Retinoblastoma (RB) is the most common pediatric ocular cancer, yet population‐based data on survival and risk factors remain limited. This study aimed to describe survival in a large national RB cohort and identify predictors of death and complications.

Regular Hypermaps

open access: yesEuropean Journal of Combinatorics, 1988
This paper studies the correspondence between topological hypermaps and algebraic hypermaps. A topological map is a decomposition of a surface into polygonal cells. A topological hypermap is a similar decomposition of an orientable surface with the ``edges'' and ``vertices'' (hyperedges and hypervertices) homeomorphic to closed discs.

NRASQ61R Expression in Lymphatic Endothelial Cells Causes Enlarged Vessels, Hemorrhagic Chylous Effusions, and High Mortality in a Mouse Model of Kaposiform Lymphangiomatosis

open access: yesPediatric Blood &Cancer, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Background Kaposiform lymphangiomatosis (KLA) is an aggressive complex lymphatic anomaly. Patients exhibit malformed lymphatic vessels and often develop hemorrhagic effusions and elevated angiopoietin‐2 (Ang‐2) levels. A somatic NRAS p.Q61R (NRASQ61R) mutation has been associated with KLA.

Hesitant Fuzzy h-ideals of \Gamma-hemirings

open access: yesJournal of New Theory, 2020
The purpose of this paper is to introduce and study hesitant fuzzy h-ideals ( h-bi-ideals, h-quasi-ideals) of a \Gamma-hemiring. We investigate several properties ofthese ideals.

On eigenvalues of third order composite type equations with regular boundary value conditions

open access: yesҚарағанды университетінің хабаршысы. Математика сериясы, 2019
In the paper the question about distribution of eigenvalues of third - order composite type equations with regular, more precisely, with periodic boundary value conditions is studied.

Perfect Regular Equilibrium [PDF]

open access: yes, 2010
We propose a revised version of the perfect Bayesian equilibrium in general multi-period games with observed actions. In finite games, perfect Bayesian equilibria are weakly consistent and subgame perfect Nash equilibria.

On Regular Courant Algebroids

open access: yes, 2009
For any regular Courant algebroid, we construct a characteristic class a la Chern-Weil. This intrinsic invariant of the Courant algebroid is a degree-3 class in its naive cohomology. When the Courant algebroid is exact, it reduces to the Severa class (in

Prevalence and Trajectory of Household Material Hardship Among Children With Advanced Cancer

open access: yesPediatric Blood &Cancer, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Background/Objectives Families of children with advanced cancer living in poverty experience inferior outcomes including poor parent mental health and worse child quality of life. Household material hardship (HMH: food, housing, transportation, and/or utility insecurity) is a modifiable poverty exposure—and potential intervention target—that ...
