Eigenvalues and completeness for regular and simply irregular two-point differential operators [PDF]

open access: yes, 2006
August 29, 2006.In this monograph the author develops the spectral theory for an nth order two-point differential operator L in the Hilbert space L2[0,1], where L is determined by an nth order formal differential operator ℓ having variable coefficients ...

Another proof of Banaschewski's surjection theorem [PDF]

open access: yesCategories and General Algebraic Structures with Applications, 2019
We present a new proof of Banaschewski's theorem stating that the completion lift of a uniform surjection is a surjection. The new procedure allows to extend the fact (and, similarly, the related theorem on closed uniform sublocales of complete uniform ...

Spatial Pattern Simulation of Antenna Base Station Positions Using Point Process Techniques

open access: yesTelecom, 2022
Spatial statistics is a powerful tool for analyzing data that are illustrated as points or positions in a regular or non-regular state space. Techniques that are proposed to investigate the spatial association between neighboring positions are based on ...

A characterization of point semiuniformities

open access: yesInternational Journal of Mathematics and Mathematical Sciences, 1996
The concept of a uniformity was developed by A. Well and there have been several generalizations. This paper defines a point semiuniformity and gives necessary and sufficient conditions for a topological space to be point semiuniformizable.

Spectrum of equivariant cohomology as a fixed point scheme [PDF]

open access: yesÉpijournal de Géométrie Algébrique
An action of a complex reductive group $\mathrm G$ on a smooth projective variety $X$ is regular when all regular unipotent elements in $\mathrm G$ act with finitely many fixed points.

CFD Simulations of Floating Point Absorber Wave Energy Converter Arrays Subjected to Regular Waves

open access: yesEnergies, 2018
In this paper we use the Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) toolbox OpenFOAM to perform numerical simulations of multiple floating point absorber wave energy converters (WECs) arranged in a geometrical array configuration inside a numerical wave tank ...

Common fixed point theorems for several multivalued mappings on proximinal sets in regular modular space

open access: yesJournal of Inequalities and Applications, 2021
In this paper, we found a common fixed point for several multivalued mappings on proximinal sets in regular modular metric space. Also, we introduced the notions of conjoint F-proximinal contraction as well as conjoint F-proximinal contraction of Hardy ...

An adaptive point sampler on a regular lattice [PDF]

open access: yesACM Transactions on Graphics, 2017
We present a framework to distribute point samples with controlled spectral properties using a regular lattice of tiles with a single sample per tile. We employ a word-based identification scheme to identify individual tiles in the lattice. Our scheme is recursive, permitting tiles to be subdivided into smaller tiles that use the same set of IDs.

Geometric shape parameterization of multidimensional finite non-regular point sets

open access: yesОмский научный вестник
The paper is devoted to a formal approach to parameterization the geometric shape of spatial point irregular sets in multidimensional Euclidean space.

Two countable Hausdorff almost regular spaces every contiunous map of which into every Urysohn space is constant

open access: yesInternational Journal of Mathematics and Mathematical Sciences, 1991
We construct two countable, Hausdorff, almost regular spaces I(S), I(T) having the following properties: (1) Every continuous map of I(S) (resp, I(T)) into every Urysohn space is constant (hence, both spaces are connected).
