NF2 is Essential for Human Endoderm Development
This study demonstrates that NF2, moesin‐ezrin‐radixin like (MERLIN) tumor suppressor (NF2) is essential for human endoderm formation. NF2 knockout human induced pluripotent stem cells fail to form endoderm both in vitro and in vivo due to yes‐associated protein 1 (YAP1) nuclear translocation, redirecting differentiation toward myofibroblast‐like cells.

Modeling the spatial evolution wildfires using random spread process
Abstract The study of wildfire spread and the growth of the area burned is an important task in ecological studies and in other contexts. In this work we present a model for fire spread and show the results obtained from simulations of burned areas. The model is based on probabilities of fire at different locations. Such probabilities are obtained from

Tightly Circumscribed Regular Polygons [PDF]
A regular polygon circumscribing another regular polygon (with a different side number) may be tightened to minimize the difference of both areas. The manuscripts computes the optimum result under the restriction that both polygons are concentric, and obtains limits if the process is repeated in a two-dimensional Babuschka-doll fashion with side ...

Humanized corneal stroma‐like adhesive patches (HCSPs) are developed for lamellar keratoplasty and corneal perforation repair. HCSPs exhibit histological, optical, and biomechanical characteristics similar to those of the natural cornea, with improved wet tissue adhesion, anti‐degradation, and anti‐swelling capabilities compared to conventional tissue ...

Sequential spatially balanced sampling
Abstract Sequential sampling occurs when an entire population is unknown in advance and data are received one by one or in groups of units. This article proposes a new algorithm to sequentially select a balanced sample. The algorithm respects equal and unequal inclusion probabilities. The method can also be used to select a spatially balanced sample if

Double pyramidal central configurations of Newtonian (N+2)-body problem
For double pyramidal central configurations of the Newtonian (N+2)-body problem where N point particles are positioned at the vertices of a regular N-polygon, and the (N+1)-th and (N+2)-th point-particles are positioned the opposite sides of the plane ...

Human induced pluripotent stem cell‐derived retinal pigment epithelial (hiPSC‐RPE) cells, cultured on a clinically relevant PDLLA scaffold, are transplanted into immunosuppressed minipigs. The study demonstrates the viability, integration, and preservation of RPE‐specific features without gliosis or neuroinflammation, supporting their potential as a ...

High‐Speed Hyperspectral Imaging for Near Infrared Fluorescence and Environmental Monitoring
This study introduces a fast hyperspectral imaging method in the near‐infrared range (HyperNIR). Combining tunable polarization optics with a phasor‐based approach, HyperNIR captures detailed spectral information with just three images. The applicability is showcased by distinguishing NIR fluorophores that are separated by 5 nm.

In this article, a novel mass and momentum conservative semi‐implicit finite volume scheme is developed for the coupled solution of hydrostatic shallow water flow and the movement of one or more floating rigid bodies. The coupling is achieved via a nonlinear volume function in the mass conservation equation that depends on the coordinates of the ...
