Polygonal patches of high order continuity [PDF]
A polygonal patch is defined to fill an n-sided hole within a rectangular Ck patch framework. First a reparameterization of the surface around the hole is constructed, that is defined outside a regular polygon.

A previously unreported coordination motif stabilising single Fe atoms by indigo chelation and pyridyl coordination on Au(111) has been revealed. By using planar tritopic pyridyl linkers (TPyB), extended 2D porous networks of indigo3(TPyB)2Fe6 form. These networks can be crystalline or vitreous and offer an environment where individual coordination ...

UNFOLDED REGULAR AND SEMI-REGULAR POLYHEDRA
This paper proposes a presentation unfolding regular and semi-regular polyhedra. Regular polyhedra are convex polyhedra whose faces are regular and equal polygons, with the same number of sides, and whose polyhedral angles are also regular and equal ...

Linear best method for recovering the second derivatives of Hardy class functions [PDF]
The linear best method for approximating the second derivatives of Hardy class functions defined in the unit circle at zero in accordance with the information about their values in a finite number of points forming a regular polygon is found.

Shellular materials form spontaneously by dip coating the primitive triply periodic minimal surface (TPMS) wireframe in an aqueous solution of lyotropic liquid crystalline graphene oxide (GO) nanosheets mixed with polymers. Regulated by surface tension, GO nanosheets align on the polymer soap film as the stress builds up during drying.

Random Polygons and Estimations of π
In this paper, we study the approximation of π through the semiperimeter or area of a random n-sided polygon inscribed in a unit circle in ℝ2. We show that, with probability 1, the approximation error goes to 0 as n → ∞, and is roughly sextupled when ...

When is a polygon circumscribing a regular polygon again regular?
Let \({\mathcal A}\) be a regular \(n\)-gon with vertices \(A_ 1,A_ 2,\ldots,A_ n\) and edge-length =1, which is inscribed in \({\mathcal P}\), an \(n\)-gon with vertices \(P_ 1,P_ 2,\ldots,P_ n\), in such a way that \(A_ 1P_ 1=A_ 2P_ 2=\cdots=A_ nP_ n\). The main results of this paper are given in the following theorem. Theorem 1. If \(n=3\) or 4 or \(

On m-ovoids of regular near polygons [PDF]
We generalise the work of Segre (1965), Cameron - Goethals - Seidel (1978), and Vanhove (2011) by showing that nontrivial $m$-ovoids of the dual polar spaces $DQ(2d, q)$, $DW(2d-1,q)$ and $DH(2d-1,q^2)$ ($d\ge 3$) are hemisystems. We also provide a more general result that holds for regular near polygons.

Multiband Switchable Microwave Absorbing Metamaterials Based on Reconfigurable Kirigami–Origami
A reconfigurable metamaterial featuring tunable microwave‐absorbing and load‐bearing performance is proposed. Stretchable kirigami and bistable origami configurations are integrated as actuating components, and the synergistic deformation mechanisms are systematically analyzed.
