Research about the number of D-points of -tiling in given ellipse

open access: yesJournal of Hebei University of Science and Technology, 2017
An Archimedean tiling is a tiling of the plane by one type of regular polygon or several types of regular polygons, and every vertex of the tiling has the same vertex characteristics.

Linear best method for recovering the second derivatives of Hardy class functions [PDF]

open access: yesE3S Web of Conferences, 2020
The linear best method for approximating the second derivatives of Hardy class functions defined in the unit circle at zero in accordance with the information about their values in a finite number of points forming a regular polygon is found.

Deployable Arches Based on Regular Polygon Geometry [PDF]

open access: yes, 2017
This paper discusses a deployable-arch-structure design that is built using articulated bars, commonly called a scissor-system, and is based on the regular polygon geometry.

The billiard in a regular polygon

open access: yesGeometric and Functional Analysis, 1992
Let \(P_ n\) be a regular \(n\)-gon. From the Ikehara Tauberian theorem one infers that there exists \(c_ n > 0\) such that the growth function of the length spectrum of the billiard in \(P_ n\) satisfies the asymptotic formula: \[ N(P_ n,t)\sim c_ n{t^ 2\over\| P_ n\|}\qquad (t\to \infty)\quad (\| P\|=\text{area}(P_ n)).\tag{1} \] The values \(c_ 3 ...

Equivariant Semidefinite Lifts of Regular Polygons [PDF]

open access: yesMathematics of Operations Research, 2017
Given a polytope P ⊂ ℝn, we say that P has a positive semidefinite lift (psd lift) of size d if one can express P as the projection of an affine slice of the d × d positive semidefinite cone. Such a representation allows us to solve linear optimization problems over P using a semidefinite program of size d and can be useful in practice when d is much ...

Moving in the Dark: Enlightening the Spatial Population Ecology of European Cave Salamanders

open access: yesPopulation Ecology, EarlyView.
We assessed individual interactions, movement ecology and activity patterns of a subterranean population of Speleomantes strinatii, applying spatial capture–recapture modeling to a photographic dataset of 104 individuals. ABSTRACT Space use and movement are fundamental aspects of organisms' ecology, mirroring individual fitness, behavior, and life ...

Polygonal patches of high order continuity [PDF]

open access: yes, 1987
A polygonal patch is defined to fill an n-sided hole within a rectangular Ck patch framework. First a reparameterization of the surface around the hole is constructed, that is defined outside a regular polygon.

An isoperimetric problem for point interactions

open access: yes, 2004
We consider Hamiltonian with $N$ point interactions in $\R^d, d=2,3,$ all with the same coupling constant, placed at vertices of an equilateral polygon $\PP_N$. It is shown that the ground state energy is locally maximized by a regular polygon.

ShcD adaptor protein drives invasion of triple negative breast cancer cells by aberrant activation of EGFR signaling

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
We identified adaptor protein ShcD as upregulated in triple‐negative breast cancer and found its expression to be correlated with reduced patient survival and increased invasion in cell models. Using a proteomic screen, we identified novel ShcD binding partners involved in EGFR signaling pathways.
