F-regular semigroups

open access: yesJournal of Algebra, 2004
A regular semigroup \(S\) is called \(F\)-regular if there exists a group congruence \(\rho\) on \(S\) such that every \(\rho\)-class contains a greatest element with respect to the natural partial order on \(S\). Continuing many investigations of \(F\)-regular semigroups, the authors characterize them and give a new representation of such semigroups ...

Higher Braid Groups and Regular Semigroups from Polyadic-Binary Correspondence

open access: yesMathematics, 2021
In this note, we first consider a ternary matrix group related to the von Neumann regular semigroups and to the Artin braid group (in an algebraic way).

Ordered Regular Semigroups with Biggest Associates

open access: yesDiscussiones Mathematicae - General Algebra and Applications, 2019
We investigate the class BA of ordered regular semigroups in which each element has a biggest associate x† = max {y | xyx = x}. This class properly contains the class PO of principally ordered regular semigroups (in which there exists x⋆ = max {y | xyx ...

Large Aperiodic Semigroups [PDF]

open access: yes, 2014
The syntactic complexity of a regular language is the size of its syntactic semigroup. This semigroup is isomorphic to the transition semigroup of the minimal deterministic finite automaton accepting the language, that is, to the semigroup generated by ...

The Relationship between E-Semigroups and R-Semigroups

open access: yesJournal of Mathematics, 2023
A semigroup is called an E-semigroup (R-semigroup) if the set of all idempotents (the set of all regular elements) forms a subsemigroup. In this paper, we introduce the concept of V-semigroups and establish the relationship between the three classes of ...

On the K-theory of crossed products by automorphic semigroup actions [PDF]

open access: yes, 2012
Let P be a semigroup that admits an embedding into a group G. Assume that the embedding satisfies a certain Toeplitz condition and that the Baum-Connes conjecture holds for G.

Partial orders in regular semigroups [PDF]

open access: yesProyecciones (Antofagasta), 2011
First we have obtained equivalent conditions for a regular semigroup and is equivalent to N = N1 It is observed that every regular semigroup is weakly separative and C ⊆ S and on a completely regular semigroup S ⊆  N and S is partial order . It is also obtained that a band (S, .) is normal iff C = N .

Self-injectivity of semigroup algebras

open access: yesOpen Mathematics, 2020
It is proved that for an IC abundant semigroup (a primitive abundant semigroup; a primitively semisimple semigroup) S and a field K, if K 0[S] is right (left) self-injective, then S is a finite regular semigroup.

Generalized Bi-ideal of Ordered Semigroup Related to Intuitionistic Fuzzy Point [PDF]

open access: yesMatrix Science Mathematic, 2017
Intuitionistic fuzzy generalized bi-ideals play an important role in the study of ordered semigroups. In this paper, we try obtain more general form of intuitionistic fuzzy generalized bi-ideal of an ordered semigroup.

Proper Regular Semigroups [PDF]

open access: yesProceedings of the American Mathematical Society, 1978
In a recent paper, D. B. McAlister gave several characterizations of proper inverse semigroups. In this paper, the concept of proper is extended to the class of regular semigroups. This is done by requiring that the set of idempotents of the semigroup coincides with the kernel of the minimum group congruence on the semigroup.
