Land‐Atmosphere Coupling Is Associated With Severer Vegetation Productivity Losses During Compound Dry‐Hot Events in Drylands

Compound dry‐hot events (CDHEs) exerted severer damage on vegetation productivity for temperate shrublands, savannas and grasslands in drylands. Land‐atmosphere coupling was associated with severer negative impacts of CDHEs through soil moisture–temperature feedback, especially for dry‐event‐leading CDHEs.
