Exploiting Native Biodiversity for Invasive Species Management: The Case of Exorista larvarum as a Natural Enemy of the Invasive Box Tree Moth Cydalima perspectalis

The investigations evaluated the performance of the native parasitoid Exorista larvarum (L.) on last instar Cydalima perspectalis (Walker) larvae, using the factitious host Galleria mellonella (L.) as a control. Life‐History Traits and Overwintering of Actia interrupta (Diptera: Tachinidae), a Larval Parasitoid of Choristoneura fumiferana (Lepidoptera: Tortricidae)

Actia interrupta is a larval tachinid parasitoid that plays a key role in regulating low‐density populations of the eastern spruce budworm. We describe its immature stages, life‐history traits, host‐searching behavior, development, and confirm its larviparous reproductive strategy.
