Neutralizing Antibody-Mediated Protection from Prior Delta Variant Infection Against Omicron BA.5 Sub-Lineage Reinfection One Year Later: A Prospective Cohort Study

open access: yesVaccines
Background: Previous SARS-CoV-2 infection provides some level of protection against reinfection. However, few studies have evaluated the neutralizing antibody (NAb) response after Delta variant infection and its ability to prevent reinfection with ...

Epoxy resin‐based sealers modified with clay nanoparticles: Evaluation of their physicochemical and mechanical properties

open access: yesEuropean Journal of Oral Sciences, EarlyView.
Abstract Epoxy resin‐based sealers are commonly used in endodontic treatment due to their superior physicochemical properties. Therefore, it is important to utilize these materials by enhancing their properties. Nonetheless, several of their properties remain suboptimal, including the relatively prolonged setting time, the moderate yet clinically ...

Investigating the molecular mechanisms underlying the anti‐CRISPR function of AcrIIA13b protein

open access: yesThe FEBS Journal, EarlyView.
Anti‐CRISPR protein AcrIIA13b inhibits CRISPR–Cas9 function by preventing target DNA engagement. The Cas9–sgRNA ribonucleoprotein (RNP) normally recognizes the protospacer adjacent motif (PAM) duplex to initiate DNA cleavage. AcrIIA13b binding to the PAM‐interacting WED–PI domain blocks this recognition, leaving the target DNA intact.

Towards inclusive HIV cure development: Identifying important and acceptable HIV cure attributes and strategies among people with HIV in the Netherlands

open access: yesHIV Medicine, EarlyView.
Abstract Objectives Initial HIV cure interventions may not meet expert‐defined target product profiles (TPPs; desired treatment attributes). Understanding how people with HIV perceive ideal and likely HIV cure attributes is essential. This study examined which optimal TPP attributes people with HIV consider important and which minimum attributes and ...
