Repaired Reinforced Concrete Beams
ACI Materials Journal, 1990The repair of cracks is a necessity, and a comparison between repair methods for reinforced concrete beams subjected to different levels of cracking was made experimentally. Four methods of repair were studied: epoxy injection; ferrocement; steel-plate bonding; and combined method of epoxy injection and ferrocement.

Strengthening of reinforced concrete beams
1989This paper presents the results of laboratory tests on bending strengthened reinforced concrete beams. The following techniques for strengthening bending reinforcement were compared: (1) shotcrete; (2) glued mortar; and (3) glued steel plates. Twelve equal 2m-long beams were tested, three for each of the strengthening methods, and three without ...

Shear in reinforced concrete beams
Magazine of Concrete Research, 1969Synopsis Generally acceptable compatibility and ultimate strength precepts are used in this paper to establish a physical theory of shear in reinforced concrete. Account is taken of the shear resistances of both un cracked concrete and shear reinforcement.
