Effect of CFRP Sheets Strengthening Method on Behaviour of Modified Lightweight Foamed Concrete Beams

open access: yesJournal of Engineering, Volume 2024, Issue 1, 2024.
This study has been adopted to examine the effect of carbon fibre‐reinforced polymer (CFRP) sheet strengthening methods on the flexural behaviour of modified foamed concrete beams reinforced with different steel reinforcement ratios, and it deals with the enhancement in flexural behaviour of conventional nonstrengthened FC beams. Twelve modified foamed

Experimental and Numerical Analysis of Omnidirectional Steel Moment Connection With Through‐Plate Panel Zone Under Cyclic Loading

open access: yesShock and Vibration, Volume 2024, Issue 1, 2024.
This paper proposes a new beam to column connection, namely, the omnidirectional steel moment connection with through‐plate panel zone, which enables the connection of more than four beams to a column in moment frames at any arbitrary angle. The proposed connection was experimentally and numerically analyzed under cyclic loading.

Shear Strengthening of Corbels with Carbon Fibre Reinforced Polymers (CFRP)

open access: yesMateriales de Construccion, 2010
Corbels constitute what are known as “disturbed” regions in concrete structures, where typical shear failure may be anticipated on the grounds of small shear span-to-depth ratios.

Fatigue damage assessment of reinforced concrete beam using acoustic emission technique / Noorsuhada Md Nor [PDF]

open access: yes, 2015
Damage due to fatigue loading in a reinforced concrete (RC) beam is a crucial phenomenon that requires assessment. Acoustic emission (AE) technique can be used to identify the fatigue damage progression in the RC beam.

A MODIFIED FORMULA TO PREDICT THE ULTIMATE LOAD CAPACITY OF REINFORCED CONCRETE CORBELS

open access: yesJournal of Engineering and Sustainable Development, 2019
Various methods are used in designing reinforced concrete corbels. The aim of the present research is to provide a modified formula to predict the ultimate strength of reinforced concrete corbels using nonlinear regression analysis of experimental data ...

Predicting the Shear Strength of Fiber Reinforced Concrete Corbels Via Support Vector Machines

open access: yesCumhuriyet Science Journal, 2018
Precast corbels are commonly preferred structural members in industrialbuildings. In this study, a novel application of support vector machines (SVM)is employed for the prediction of ultimate shear strength of fiber reinforcedcorbels, for the first time ...
