EXPERIMENTAL INVESTIGATION ON THE BEHAVIOR OF REINFORCED CONCRETE CORBELS UNDER REPEATED LOADINGS

open access: yesJournal of Engineering and Sustainable Development, 2015
In this study, a total of twenty four vibrated and self-compacting concrete (SCC) corbels with normal and high compressive strength have been cast and tested under vertical loading. All corbels had the same main steel area.

Behaviour of concrete corbels reinforced with GFRP bent bars

open access: yes, 2023
Steel-reinforced concrete (RC) corbels are one of the significant components in the precast buildings and superstructure of bridges, and they are used for load transfer from girders or slabs to columns. In North America, such elements are exposed to harsh weather, which makes them more susceptible to corrosion problems.

Static and dynamic experimental study of strengthened inforced short concrete corbel by using carbon fabrics, crack path in shear zone

open access: yesFracture and Structural Integrity, 2015
The paper presents an experimental analysis of tracking the path of the cracks and crack growth in strengthened or repair reinforced concrete short corbels bonded by carbon fiber fabrics under static and dynamic loads.
