Aseismic Capability of Beam-to-Column Joint in RC Frame Under Biaxial Loading

open access: yesAdvances in Civil Engineering
The aseismic capability of a beam-to-column connection may be lower under identical bidirectional compared to unidirectional loads. However, earthquake excitations are multidimensional and random, so joints may be simultaneously subjected to different ...

The Making of the Right to Food: Tracing Food Policy Conflict and Negotiated Outcomes in Colombia

open access: yesWorld Food Policy, Volume 12, Issue 2, November 2026.
ABSTRACT The 2016 Peace Agreement between the Colombian Government and the FARC guerrilla group marked a historic step toward ending more than five decades of armed conflict. It also reshaped national food policy with lasting implications. During the negotiations, deep ideological divisions emerged between food sovereignty and food security, and these ...

Analytical Framework for System‐Level Fragility Surfaces of Reinforced Concrete Bridges Under Mainshock‐Aftershock Sequences

open access: yesEarthquake Engineering &Structural Dynamics, Volume 55, Issue 13, Page 3264-3284, 25 October 2026.
ABSTRACT Conventional single intensity measure (IM) fragility approaches with simplified component dependency assumptions overlook the progressive damage accumulation and evolving inter‐component correlations that govern system behavior under mainshock‐aftershock (MSAS) loading.

Energy‐Based Characterisation of Earthquake Damage in Masonry Infills Through Combined In‐Plane and Out‐of‐Plane Experimental Tests

open access: yesEarthquake Engineering &Structural Dynamics, Volume 55, Issue 13, Page 3302-3318, 25 October 2026.
ABSTRACT The seismic capacity of structural systems/members is usually defined in terms of deformation thresholds. Although this is effective in many circumstances, disregarding cumulative quantities such as hysteretic energy may be ineffective when low‐cycle fatigue is relevant (e.g., long‐duration ground motions, very soft soils, ground‐motion ...

Influence of 3D Printing Parameters on ULTEM 9085 Mechanical Properties Using Explainable Machine Learning

open access: yesSPE Polymers, Volume 7, Issue 4, October 2026.
An explainable machine‐learning framework predicts complete stress–strain behavior and key mechanical properties of FFF‐printed ULTEM 9085 from four printing parameters. Extra Trees delivered the most accurate and stable predictions, while SHAP and LIME clarified how each parameter influences material performance.

Analysing Higher Education Institutions' Role in Sustainable Development Goals: A Systematic Literature Review Analysis and Future Directions

open access: yesBusiness Ethics, the Environment &Responsibility, Volume 35, Issue 4, Page 2636-2659, October 2026.
ABSTRACT This paper examines the current state of the art regarding the contribution of Higher Education Institutions (HEIs) to the achievement of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). We conducted a Systematic Literature Review Analysis (SLRA), which integrates a traditional Systematic Literature Review (SLR) with Bibliographic Analysis (BA), on a

Rural Justice and the Green Transition: Understanding Green Discontent in Eastern Germany

open access: yesSociologia Ruralis, Volume 66, Issue 4, October 2026.
ABSTRACT Rural areas are rapidly becoming the focal points of green transition and its associated political conflicts. The resulting ‘green discontent’ is currently fuelling a broader ‘rural discontent’. However, little is known about how people living in rural areas interpret green policies.

Design for Remanufacturing and Resource Circulation in Proton Exchange Membrane Water Electrolysis Systems Using Sustainability Benefit Ratio

open access: yesChemSusChem, Volume 19, Issue 18, 28 September 2026.
The concept of remanufacturing‐oriented proton exchange membrane water electrolysis is illustrated using the Sustainability Benefit Ratio (SBR). Rather than renewal manufactured stacks, periodic remanufacturing promotes resource circulation and reduces cumulative burden.
