The Behavior of Masonry Walls with Reinforced Plaster Mortar [PDF]
The purpose of this study is the improvement of the behaviors of walls constructed with masonry bricks using reinforced plaster mortars. In this study, 400×400×100 mm sized walls were constructed using 1 : 2 scaled 100×50×30 mm sized masonry bricks.

Influence of Chained Masonry on the Seismic Response of Reinforced Concrete Buildings
The influence of chained masonry walls, which represents a special case of masonry infill without gap, on the seismic response of reinforced concrete buildings is extremely important due to their wide use in this type of building.

Seismic behavior of reinforced concrete buildings using chained masonry walls randomly located
The widespread use of masonry infill walls in the most prone zones to earthquakes, for the execution of multistoried reinforced concrete buildings, as well as the recorded damage caused by earthquakes, have forced us to study their influence on the ...

Unreinforced masonry has been used as a construction material for thousands of years. Whilesome of these structures survive to this day, these tend to have massive walls and would be unpractical formodern use. Unreinforced masonry can be reinforced with proper masonry techniques.

Study the relative contribution of materials, reinforcement and concrete layers at different levels of cyclic deformation of masonry walls reinforced with shotcrete [PDF]
In masonry buildings, walls are the main structural members that deal with lateral forces. The important point in seismic retrofitting projects is identify the most effective method of improving in various levels of displacement. Therefore, in this study

A Fe Model for TRM Reinforced Masonry Walls with Interface Effects [PDF]
We report on experimental and numerical investigations of textile reinforced mortar (TRM) strengthening systems, an innovative solution for reinforcing historical masonry structures. The experimental campaign presented in this paper is original and concerns two commercial TRM applications to single-leaf clay masonry panels. The proposed FE modelling is
