Integrative miRNOMe profiling reveals the miR‐195‐5p–CHEK1 axis and its impact on luminal breast cancer outcomes

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
In luminal (ER+) breast carcinoma (BC), miRNA profiling identified miR‐195‐5p as a key regulator of proliferation that targets CHEK1, CDC25A, and CCNE1. High CHEK1 expression correlates with worse relapse‐free survival after chemotherapy, especially in patients with luminal A subtype.

A Relational Database Machine Architecture

open access: yesThe Papers of the Fifth Workshop on Computer Architecture for Non-Numeric Processing on -, 1980
Algorithms are described and analyzed for the efficient evaluation of the project and join operators of a relational algebra on a proposed non-von Neumann machine based on a hierarchy of associative storage devices. This architecture permits an O (log n

Association of high‐dose radioactive iodine therapy with PPM1D‐mutated clonal hematopoiesis in older individuals

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
In thyroid cancer patients, high‐dose (≥7.4 GBq) radioactive iodine therapy (RAIT) was associated with a higher prevalence of clonal hematopoiesis (variant allele frequency >2%) in individuals aged ≥50 years (OR = 2.44). In silico analyses showed that truncating PPM1D mutations conferred a selective advantage under these conditions.

Bipolarity in the querying of temporal databases [PDF]

open access: yes, 2013
A database represents part of reality by containing data representing properties of real objects or concepts. To many real-world concepts or objects, time is an essential aspect and thus it should often be (implicitly) represented by databases, making ...

ITGAV and SMAD4 influence the progression and clinical outcome of pancreatic ductal adenocarcinoma

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
In SMAD4‐positive pancreatic ductal adenocarcinoma (PDAC), integrin subunit alpha V (ITGAV) activates latent TGF‐β, which binds to the TGF‐β receptor and phosphorylates SMAD2/3. The activated SMAD2/3 forms a complex with SMAD4, and together they translocate to the nucleus, modulating gene expression to promote proliferation, migration, and invasion. In

Characterization of a typology of exercises for the teaching of the Model Entity/Relationship

open access: yesRevista MENDIVE, 2007
The creation process of a database crosses through a series of stages; one of them is the design. Inside this stage the data models play an important role.

Influence of concrete composition on chloride ingress and carbonation : analysis by means of an extended data-set

open access: yes, 2017
In 2015 an IWT-TETRA project, called DurOBet, was initiated focusing on service life design assessment according to different chloride diffusion and carbonation models applied on Belgian concrete mixtures.
