Lifted Model Checking for Relational MDPs [PDF]

open access: yesarXiv, 2021
Probabilistic model checking has been developed for verifying systems that have stochastic and nondeterministic behavior. Given a probabilistic system, a probabilistic model checker takes a property and checks whether or not the property holds in that system. For this reason, probabilistic model checking provide rigorous guarantees.

Varieties of digitalisation? A comparison of employment services digitalisation in the UK and Australia

open access: yesAustralian Journal of Social Issues, EarlyView.
Abstract This article examines the digitalisation of employment services in the UK and Australia, countries that have been on similar policy trajectories with respect to the development of quasi‐markets and increased digitalisation. The article deploys comparative mixed methods comprising surveys of employment service providers and interviews with ...

Relation-dependent Contrastive Learning with Cluster Sampling for Inductive Relation Prediction [PDF]

open access: yesarXiv, 2022
Relation prediction is a task designed for knowledge graph completion which aims to predict missing relationships between entities. Recent subgraph-based models for inductive relation prediction have received increasing attention, which can predict relation for unseen entities based on the extracted subgraph surrounding the candidate triplet.

Design and the Modeling Relation

open access: yesShe Ji: The Journal of Design, Economics, and Innovation, 2019
Human perceptions of the world can be described in terms of models, such as mental models, formal models, and so on. All models involve some selection of the elements which comprise them. The degree to which those selections are consciously made varies according to the type of model being described, or thought to be relevant.

Considering the animating ethos of designing digital first unemployment services: On the motivation of others

open access: yesAustralian Journal of Social Issues, EarlyView.
Abstract This paper explores the animating ethos of digital unemployment services. Unlike human‐to‐human services, where the intention of policy is normally mediated by professionals, digital services are fully designed in the policy imagination. As a result, it is a pressing issue to understand the ethos that animates their development.

Young children's perspectives of time: New directions for co‐constructing understandings of quality in ECEC

open access: yesBritish Educational Research Journal, EarlyView., 2023
Abstract Children's relationship with time in preschools is an under‐researched area. Young children rarely know how to measure time using a clock, but their experiences of time may contribute to understanding children's well‐being and debates about quality in preschools.

Paraconsistent Intuitionistic Fuzzy Relational Data Model [PDF]

open access: yesarXiv, 2004
In this paper, we present a generalization of the relational data model based on paraconsistent intuitionistic fuzzy sets. Our data model is capable of manipulating incomplete as well as inconsistent information. Fuzzy relation or intuitionistic fuzzy relation can only handle incomplete information.
