MicrobeDiscover: A Knowledge Graph–Enabled AI Framework for Identifying Microbes for Inorganic Nanomaterial Biosynthesis

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Microbial synthesis of nanomaterials (NMs) is eco‐friendly, but the screening of microorganisms is limited by inefficient traditional methods (currently only involving∽400 microorganisms/90 NMs). We propose AI framework MicrobeDiscover, integrating a knowledge graph of microbe‐NM interactions.

When Relational-Based Applications Go to NoSQL Databases: A Survey

open access: yesInformation, 2019
Several data-centric applications today produce and manipulate a large volume of data, the so-called Big Data. Traditional databases, in particular, relational databases, are not suitable for Big Data management.

Solving equations in the relational algebra [PDF]

open access: yes, 2003
Enumerating all solutions of a relational algebra equation is a natural and powerful operation which, when added as a query language primitive to the nested relational algebra, yields a query language for nested relational databases, equivalent to the ...

Robust C–V Ratio Technique for Profiling Defects in Proton‐Irradiated 4H‐SiC

open access: yesAdvanced Electronic Materials, EarlyView.
A noise‐robust C–V ratio technique is introduced to profile radiation‐induced defects in proton‐irradiated 4H‐SiC Schottky diodes. By using analytical capacitance ratios instead of numerical differentiation, the method directly extracts trap‐density and effective trap‐energy profiles at room temperature.

The Role of Coordination Mechanisms and Transaction Costs Promoting Sustainability Performance in Agri‐Food Supply Chains: Evidence From Ecuador

open access: yesAgribusiness, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Social tensions and resource depletion pose significant challenges to the agri‐food sector, highlighting the need for coordinated strategies to ensure sustainability in supply chains. Despite its critical importance, the relationship between coordination mechanisms and sustainability performance remains underexplored.

Relational Teaching Behaviours in the Large University Class: An Observational Study

open access: yesCanadian Journal for the Scholarship of Teaching and Learning
Larger class sizes in higher education can generate many challenges for educators, notably increased negative student evaluations of teaching. This study suggests that one strategy for countering some of the shortcomings of the large classroom is to ...

Achieving abstraction: Generating far analogies promotes relational reasoning in children. [PDF]

open access: yes, 2018
Analogical reasoning is essential for transfer by supporting recognition of relational similarity. However, not all analogies are created equal. The source and target can be similar (near), or quite different (far).

Creating Shared Value as an Antecedent of Value Co‐Creation: B2B Relationships in the Agri‐Food Sector

open access: yesAgribusiness, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT This study analyzes the effects of value co‐creation and creation of shared value in agricultural input marketing. This study used a sample of 178 agricultural companies in Costa Rica. The data were analyzed using partial least squares structural equation modeling (PLS‐SEM) with SMART PLS software. Our findings reveal the significant influence
