Unsupervised Sense-Aware Hypernymy Extraction [PDF]
In this paper, we show how unsupervised sense representations can be used to improve hypernymy extraction. We present a method for extracting disambiguated hypernymy relationships that propagates hypernyms to sets of synonyms (synsets), constructs embeddings for these sets, and establishes sense-aware relationships between matching synsets.

Patent-KG: Patent Knowledge Graph Use for Engineering Design [PDF]
To facilitate knowledge reuse in engineering design, several dataset approaches have been proposed and applied by designers. This paper builds a patent-based knowledge graph, patent-KG, to represent the knowledge facts in patents for engineering design. The arising patent-KG approach proposes a new unsupervised mechanism to extract knowledge facts in a

In lymphoid organs, antigen recognition and B cell receptor signaling rely on integrins and the cytoskeleton. Integrins act as mechanoreceptors, couple B cell receptor activation to cytoskeletal remodeling, and support immune synapse formation as well as antigen extraction.

Social context prevents heat hormetic effects against mutagens during fish development
This study shows that sublethal heat stress protects fish embryos against ultraviolet radiation, a concept known as ‘hormesis’. However, chemical stress transmission between fish embryos negates this protective effect. By providing evidence for the mechanistic molecular basis of heat stress hormesis and interindividual stress communication, this study ...

Opinion Extraction as A Structured Sentiment Analysis using Transformers [PDF]
Relationship extraction and named entity recognition have always been considered as two distinct tasks that require different input data, labels, and models. However, both are essential for structured sentiment analysis. We believe that both tasks can be combined into a single stacked model with the same input data.

Space Math: Black Hole Math [PDF]
This booklet includes 11 problems of increasing difficulty that explore the properties of black holes. Students learn about the relationship between black hole size and mass, time dilation, energy extraction, accretion disks, and what’s inside a black ...

Spot‐14 and Spot‐14R play distinct roles in regulating metabolism in brown and beige adipocytes. While both influence lipid and glucose pathways, Spot‐14 uniquely controls thermogenic gene expression. This dual regulation balances energy storage and heat production, highlighting potential therapeutic targets for obesity and metabolic disorders. Spot 14

Sense Perception Common Sense Relationships [PDF]
Often missing in existing knowledge bases of facts, are relationships that encode common sense knowledge about unnamed entities. In this paper, we propose to extract novel, common sense relationships pertaining to sense perception concepts such as sound and smell.
