Dual Randomness From Spatial and Temporal Variations in Stochastic Zinc Gallate Nanoclusters for PUF and TRNG Co‐Driven Image Generation

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
A dual‐randomness hardware platform is demonstrated by integrating PUF and TRNG functionalities into mixed‐ZGO nanoclusters. By leveraging spatial and temporal stochasticity, the mixed‐ZGO NCs device enables both unique identification and random signal generation.

Thioredoxin‐2 Alleviates Osteoporosis by Restraining FOXO3a Nuclear Translocation

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Endothelial TRX2 preserves bone homeostasis by retaining FOXO3a at mitochondria and limiting TRAIL production. Loss of TRX2 or oxidative stress releases FOXO3a for nuclear translocation, increasing endothelial TRAIL secretion and driving osteoclast formation and bone loss.

Data Mining Archaeogenetic and Linguistic Data Gives an Improved Chronology of the Uralic Language Family

open access: yesInformation
Since the early 19th century, linguists have collected enough linguistic data to draw a remarkably stable Uralic language family tree. However, the traditional Uralic language family tree has two main problems.

LncRNA FLJ20021 Restrains Fibroblast Senescence and Matrix Remodeling in Pelvic Organ Prolapse by Promoting XRCC6‐Dependent ADI1 Transcription

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
FLJ20021 interacts with XRCC6 to regulate ADI1 transcription and downstream cellular phenotypes in hUSLFs. Reduced FLJ20021 in POP is associated with lower ADI1, increased apoptosis, senescence, and an ECM‐degrading marker profile. Conversely, FLJ20021 overexpression enhances XRCC6‐dependent ADI1 expression, reduces apoptosis and senescence, and shifts

Geographical variation in male eastern wild turkey gobbling activity relative to female nesting chronology

open access: yesWildlife Society Bulletin
Wild turkey (Meleagris gallopavo) gobbling activity is a key aspect of hunter satisfaction and has been used to help determine the timing of spring wild turkey hunting seasons. However, to minimize effects on reproductive success, the literature is clear

Narrative voice and chronology in the books of Samuel [PDF]

open access: yes, 2009
Although the importance of chronology as a device employed within the Old Testament is widely recognised, its analysis has not employed some of the tools made available by literary theorists.

RelChronVis: an interactive web application for visualizing the relative chronology of language changes [PDF]

open access: yes
Models of the relative chronology of language changes resemble the structure of a graph. They consist of a set of changes that are in many cases related to each other.

MagGami: An Electromagnetic Origami Actuator With High Stiffness‐Switching Density for Lightweight Joint‐Space Wearable Haptics

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Concept of the MagGami‐based joint‐space haptic glove. a) Comparison between Cartesian‐space fingertip force feedback and distributed joint‐space torque feedback, highlighting the limitations of representative motor‐driven, pneumatic, and smart material‐based haptic actuators.

Donor‐Cell Senescence Redirects PINK1‐Marked Mitochondrial Cargo From Mitophagy to Microvesicle Transfer Through SUMO3‐Stabilized HSPA9

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Extracellular vesicle therapies have been developed for tissue repair, but how donor‐cell senescence reshapes vesicle‐mediated mitochondrial transfer remains unclear. Here, we show that senescent adipose‐derived stem cells (ADSCs) redirect damaged mitochondria into microvesicles (MVs), converting protective vesicles into pro‐degenerative ...

Preoperative FIB‐4 Index as a Potential Factor Associated With Severe Postoperative Complications and Endogenous Organ Failure After Hepatectomy for Hepatocellular Carcinoma

open access: yesAnnals of Gastroenterological Surgery, EarlyView.
This study demonstrates that a preoperative FIB‐4 index ≥ 5.0 independently predicts severe complications and endogenous organ failure (EOF) following hepatectomy for hepatocellular carcinoma. By capturing structural liver fragility and systemic vulnerability, the FIB‐4 index enhances surgical risk stratification beyond traditional functional markers ...
