A Modular PLUG‐IN Photosynthetic Chassis With Tunable Thermal Control for Mammalian Systems

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
This work establishes a “plug‐in” chassis compatible with mammalian systems that synchronizes growth, production, and cell‐wall re‐configuration, providing a versatile platform for photosynthetic bioproduction and microalgal synthetic biology. ABSTRACT Microalgae are promising photosynthetic platforms for high‐value compounds, yet their industrial use ...

Spatiotemporal Targeting Randle Cycle and Immune Checkpoint for Potent Antitumor Therapy

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
A glucose oxidase‐based nanogel (GOX‐NG) system using catechol‐functionalized alginate, exhibits enhanced tumor penetration, prolonged retention, and sustained glucose depletion in the tumor microenvironment. When combined with a fatty acid oxidation inhibitor, it implements dual metabolic suppression, thereby enhancing ROS‐induced immunogenic cell ...

Relative Deprivation

Policy Insights from the Behavioral and Brain Sciences, 2014
Discussions of the impact of growing inequality have focused on objective indicators. Focusing on what individuals have or do not have can be misleading without understanding how they subjectively interpret the availability of resources. Relative deprivation (RD) occurs when individuals compare themselves with better-off others and conclude that they ...

Relative Deprivation and Intergroup Prejudice

Journal of Social Issues, 2008
Using three diverse European surveys, we test the relationship between relative deprivation (RD) and anti‐immigrant prejudice. We find that both group relative deprivation (GRD) and individual relative deprivation (IRD) are found primarily among working‐class respondents who are politically alienated.
