RASIO PANJANG-LEBAR KARAPAS, POLA PERTUMBUHAN, FAKTOR KONDISI, DAN FAKTOR KONDISI RELATIF KEPITING PASIR (HIPPA ADACTYLA) DI PANTAI BERPASIR CILACAP DAN KEBUMEN

open access: yesJurnal Ilmu Pertanian Indonesia, 2015
Cilacap and Kebumen are potential coastal habitat for mole crab such as Hippa adactyla. Ecosystems condition of both locations is distinct. Each organism have to develop adaptation strategy to deal with environmental variation. H.

Allometry and sexual dimorphism of the Neotropical freshwater anomuran Aegla marginata Bond-Buckup & Buckup, 1994 (Crustacea, Anomura, Aeglidae)

open access: yesNauplius
This study analyzes ontogenetic allometry in Aegla marginata Bond-Buckup & Buckup, 1994, a freshwater crustacean, in order to evaluate the growth pattern and the presence of sexual dimorphism, using a multivariate approach.

Relatively Free Semigroups of Intermediate Growth

open access: yesJournal of Algebra, 2001
The paper is concerned with the growth of finitely generated semigroups, especially of the relatively free semigroups in the variety \(\mathbf B\) of 2-nilpotent semigroups in the sense of Neumann and Taylor. These are semigroups satisfying the identity \(xyzyx=yxzxy\). Let \({\mathcal F}_k\) denote the \(\mathbf B\)-free semigroup of rank \(k\).

Plant growth promoting rhizobacteria alleviates drought stress in potato in response to suppressive oxidative stress and antioxidant enzymes activities

open access: yesScientific Reports, 2020
Maintenance of plant physiological functions under drought stress is normally considered a positive feature as it indicates sustained plant health and growth.

Enteropathogenic E. coli shows delayed attachment and host response in human jejunum organoid‐derived monolayers compared to HeLa cells

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Enteropathogenic E. coli (EPEC) infects the human intestinal epithelium, resulting in severe illness and diarrhoea. In this study, we compared the infection of cancer‐derived cell lines with human organoid‐derived models of the small intestine. We observed a delayed in attachment, inflammation and cell death on primary cells, indicating that host ...

Associated fauna and effects of epibiotic barnacles on the relative growth and reproductive indices of Stramonita haemastoma (Gastropoda: Muricidae)

open access: yesScientia Marina, 2015
To better understand the impacts of biofouling on the biological processes of the basibiont, the effects of epibiotic barnacles on the relative growth and reproductive indices of Stramonita haemastoma (Linnaeus, 1767) were assessed.

Organoids in pediatric cancer research

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Organoid technology has revolutionized cancer research, yet its application in pediatric oncology remains limited. Recent advances have enabled the development of pediatric tumor organoids, offering new insights into disease biology, treatment response, and interactions with the tumor microenvironment.

Sexual maturity of the deep-sea red crab Chaceon notialis Manning & Holthuis, 1989 (Brachyura: Geryonidae) in southern Brazil Madurez sexual del cangrejo rojo de profundidad Chaceon notialis Manning & Holthuis, 1989 (Brachyura: Geryonidae) al sur de Brasil

open access: yesLatin American Journal of Aquatic Research, 2009
The red crab Chaceon notialis is one of the three deep-sea crab species currently exploited in Brazil. The red crab fishery started in 1998 with foreign vessels that, as of 2000, have been extensively moni-tored by observers and tracked by satellite.

Reciprocal control of viral infection and phosphoinositide dynamics

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Phosphoinositides, although scarce, regulate key cellular processes, including membrane dynamics and signaling. Viruses exploit these lipids to support their entry, replication, assembly, and egress. The central role of phosphoinositides in infection highlights phosphoinositide metabolism as a promising antiviral target.
