Electromagnetically Coupled Resonant Face‐to‐Face Double‐Layer Metamaterial for Highly Sensitive THz Impedance Spectroscopy

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
A unique electromagnetic coupling between two ELC resonating metamaterial sensors in a THz optical cavity in face‐to‐face configuration, is copiously stable for any misalignment, and enhances resonant q‐factor to 549, dielectric sensitivity to 2300 GHz RIU−1; the highest to date.

Controllable Preparation of Millimeter‐Scale In‐Plane Charged Domain Wall in a Lead‐Free Ferroelectric Film

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
This study presents an effective method for fabricating millimeter‐scale continuous in‐plane head‐to‐head charged domain walls by controlling the growth of the Na0.5Bi0.5TiO3 film. The formation of antiphase boundaries plays a crucial role in stabilizing the charged domain walls. Atomic‐scale insights reveal that the dynamic coupling among polarization,

Unveiling the Fundamental Principles of Reconfigurable Resistance States in Silver/Poly(Ethylene Glycol) Nanofluids

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
The electrophoretic reorganization of Ag nanoparticles within a poly(ethylene glycol) leads to the formation of conductive bridges with reconfigurable resistance states. Diverse conduction characteristics of the bridge range between ohmic conduction, nonlinear tunneling, or space charge‐limited conduction, and high resistance states.

Substrate‐Controlled Response Coefficients in Thin Films

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Many material‐specific coefficients, which relate external stimuli and functional responses, are constants governed by atomic vibrations. This work demonstrates the concept of controlling such response coefficients by deformations, or strain, through strain‐induced changes in atomic vibrations.
