This study demonstrates the combination of magnetic nanoparticles and functional blowing agents into supraparticles. Upon induction heating, they actuate via rapid gas generation or extensive volume expansion. These supraparticles lift up to 25 000 times their own mass and rapidly open cured epoxy resins, providing a versatile strategy for fast micron ...

A plasmonic–photothermal–photocatalytic hybrid comprising Cu(II)‐grafted TiO2, yolk–shell Au@SiO2, and reduced graphene oxide sheets (CuT/AuSi‐GS) harvests full‐spectrum white light‐emitting diode (LED) light via complementary photocatalytic oxidation, localized surface‐plasmon‐resonance‐induced electric‐field enhancement, and photothermal acceleration.

Dual‐State Programmable Oxide Transistor for Time‐Based Cryptography
A DUPOT enables independently tunable Vth and Isat depending on gate bias polarity, producing three‐dimensional dynamical behavior within a transfer characteristic. This behavior originates from charge trapping and oxygen‐ion migration in the HfO2 layer.

A solid‐state ionic actuator integrates sensing, actuation, and memory within one material. A brief UV pulse induces long‐lasting deformation via coupled network rearrangement, dehydration, and rehydration, while ionic redistribution enables self‐powered sensing, supporting multifunctional, energy‐efficient soft robotic functions without continuous ...

Lithography‐Compatible Conductive Metal–Organic Frameworks for Scalable Electronics
Conductive MOF thin films are integrated as gate electrodes in semiconductor devices through a photolithography‐compatible patterning strategy. CVD‐grown 2D MOF thin films enable stable operation across bottom‐gate MoS2/MoTe2 field‐effect transistors and top‐gate IGZO arrays, highlighting the potential of conductive MOFs as functional electronic ...

Interfacial reactions in all‐solid‐state batteries are conventionally suppressed; here, they are designed. Vacancy‐rich β‐Li3N, acting as an anolyte, reacts controllably with silicon during composite anode fabrication, building a purpose‐made lithium nitridosilicate interlayer on every particle surface.

Organic artificial neurons couple mechanical deformation and ionic environments through nonlinear mechano‐electrochemical dynamics. Mechanical strain and electrolyte concentration reshape their nonlinear electrical characteristics, programming excitatory or inhibitory spiking responses that mimic mechanosensitive biological neurons and enable ...

Strong Coupling in Bulk Nanoplasmonic Nanoplatelet Perovskite Scintillators
A bulk scintillating nanocomposite is engineered from CsPbBr3 nanoplatelets and Ag nanocubes to support exciton–plasmon strong coupling under X‐ray excitation. The resulting hybrid polaritonic states appear directly in radioluminescence, opening a route toward polariton‐enabled scintillator design beyond conventional Purcell enhancement.

Basic Analysis of Relative Volatility
2015First, we conducted an analysis of comparable stocks that did not switch markets. A simple ratio analysis comparing the annual volatility of AIM and Main Market stocks showed AIM to be substantially more volatile than the Main Market. The volatility of AIM stocks ranged from 1.3 to 2.7 times that of comparable Main Market stocks, and was particularly ...

CALIBRATING VOLATILITY SURFACES VIA RELATIVE-ENTROPY MINIMIZATION
SSRN Electronic Journal, 1997We present a framework for calibrating a pricing model to a prescribed set of option prices quoted in the market. Our algorithm yields an arbitrage-free diffusion process that minimizes the relative entropy distance to a prior diffusion. We solve a constrained (minimax) optimal control problem using a finite-difference scheme for a Bellman parabolic ...
