Relatively Free Nilpotent Torsion-Free Groups and Their Lie Algebras [PDF]
For a torsion free finitely generated nilpotent group G we naturally associate four finite dimensional nilpotent Lie algebras over a field of characteristic zero. We show that if G is a relatively free group of some variery of nilpotent groups then all the above Lie algebras are isomorphic. As a result, any two quasi-isometric relatively free nilpotent

On free subgroups of finite exponent in circle groups of free nilpotent algebras [PDF]
Let $K$ be a commutative ring with identity and $N$ the free nilpotent $K$-algebra on a non-empty set $X$. Then $N$ is a group with respect to the circle composition. We prove that the subgroup generated by $X$ is relatively free in a suitable class

A polymeric hydrogel electrocatalyst for direct water oxidation
Hydrogels are networked hydrophilic polymers with enriched polar groups and confined water but are relatively less explored as electrocatalysts. Here, the authors demonstrate that insulative polymeric hydrogels can be an underlying catalogue of metal ...

In a 1998 paper entitled “Guts don’t fly: small digestive organs in obese bar-tailed godwits,” Piersma and Gill (1998) showed that the digestive organs were tiny and the fat loads huge in individuals suspected of embarking on a non-stop flight from ...

Analysis of low-marbled Hanwoo cow meat aged with different dry-aging methods [PDF]
Objective Different dry-aging methods [traditional dry-aging (TD), simplified dry-aging (SD), and SD in an aging bag (SDB)] were compared to investigate the possible use of SD and/or SDB in practical situations.

ON RESTRICTING SUBSETS OF BASES IN RELATIVELY FREE GROUPS [PDF]
Let G be a finitely generated free, free abelian of arbitrary exponent, free nilpotent, or free solvable group, or a free group in the variety AmAn, and let A = {a1,…, ar} be a basis for G. We prove that, in most cases, if S is a subset of a basis for G which may be expressed as a word in A without using elements from {al+1,…, ar} for some l < r ...

Organic aerosol evolution and transport observed at Mt. Cimone (2165 m a.s.l.), Italy, during the PEGASOS campaign [PDF]
High-resolution aerosol mass spectrometer measurements were performed, for the first time, at the Mt. Cimone Global Atmosphere Watch (GAW) station between June and July 2012, within the EU project PEGASOS and the ARPA–Emilia-Romagna project SUPERSITO ...
