FEBS Open Bio, EarlyView.Bisphenol A (BPA), a common chemical in plastics, exerts dual effects on bladder cancer cells: low doses promote growth and migration, while high doses suppress growth and migration. Multi‐omics and bioinformatics reveal BPA acts via MAPK and inflammatory pathways.

FEBS Open Bio, EarlyView.14‐day casting‐induced immobilization reduced gastrocnemius muscle mass and increased non‐heme iron and ferritin heavy chain levels. Despite iron accumulation, transferrin receptor 1 and iron regulatory protein 2 were paradoxically upregulated. Lipid peroxidation was elevated without compensatory antioxidant responses.

On Bergman's property for the automorphism groups of relatively free groups
, 2004 We say that a group $G$ has Bergman's property (the property of universality of finite width) if for every generating set $X$ of $G$ with $X=X^{-1}$ we have that $G=X^k$ for some natural number $k.$ The property is named after George Bergman who have proved recently that the infinite symmetric groups are groups of universally finite width.

MiR‐513a promotes human erythroid differentiation by modulating c‐Jun
FEBS Open Bio, EarlyView.During early human erythropoiesis, miR‐513a promoted erythroid differentiation in primary human CD34+ hematopoietic stem‐progenitor cells and human TF‐1 erythroleukemic cells by indirectly decreasing c‐Jun and phospho‐c‐Jun expression, which are associated with increased GATA1 expression.

FEBS Open Bio, EarlyView.Despite frogs avoiding low temperatures, examination of four salamander species revealed that none avoided cold and all possessed cold tolerance. Functional analysis of TRPM8, a cold sensor, showed that all salamander TRPM8s had lost their cold sensitivity.
