Highly relativistic spinning particle in the Schwarzschild field: Circular and other orbits

open access: yes, 2012
The Mathisson-Papapetrou equations in the Schwarzschild background both at Mathisson-Pirani and Tulczyjew-Dixon supplementary condition are considered.

Artificial Neuron Based on Electrical Anisotropy from WSe2 Field Effect Transistors

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
An artificial neuron was realized based on the anisotropic mobility of WSe2. Dendritic and axon‐multisynaptic performance of a neuron was achieved with optical and voltage pulses. Recognition accuracy of handwritten digits was obtained to 97% based on the synaptic weight of an artificial neuron.

Collisionless Tearing Instability in Relativistic Nonthermal Pair Plasma and Its Application to MHD Turbulence

open access: yesThe Astrophysical Journal
Collisionless tearing instability with a power-law distribution function in a relativistic pair plasma with a guide field is studied. When the current sheet is supported by plasma pressure, the tearing mode is suppressed as the particle spectrum hardens.

Particle Injection and Nonthermal Particle Acceleration in Relativistic Magnetic Reconnection

open access: yesThe Astrophysical Journal, 2023
Magnetic reconnection in the relativistic regime has been proposed as an important process for the efficient production of nonthermal particles and high-energy emission. Using fully kinetic particle-in-cell simulations, we investigate how the guide-field

A Quest for the Mechanism of Ultrahigh Resolution SEM Imaging

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Using Monte Carlo simulations with explicit definitions of SE1 and SE2 align with a cascade secondary electron production model, this work shows that the 3D nanostructure modulated SE2 emission enhances other than to reduce topographical contrast via a “miniature Faraday cup” effect.

Inverse Compton Emission and Cooling of Relativistic Particles Accelerated at Shear Boundary Layers in Relativistic Jets

open access: yesThe Astrophysical Journal
Both observational evidence and theoretical considerations from magnetohydrodynamic simulations of jets suggest that the relativistic jets of active galactic nuclei (AGN) are radially stratified, with a fast inner spine surrounded by a slower-moving ...

Radiation from accelerated particles in relativistic jets with shocks, shear-flow, and reconnection

open access: yesEPJ Web of Conferences, 2013
We have investigated particle acceleration and shock structure associated with an unmagnetized relativistic jet propagating into an unmagnetized plasma for electron-positron and electron-ion plasmas.

Pion–nucleon correlations in finite nuclei in a relativistic framework: Effects on the shell structure

open access: yesPhysics Letters B, 2016
The relativistic particle-vibration coupling (RPVC) model is extended by the inclusion of isospin-flip excitation modes into the phonon space, introducing a new mechanism of dynamical interaction between nucleons with different isospin in the nuclear ...

Relativistic Collisionless Shocks in Inhomogeneous Magnetized Plasmas

open access: yesThe Astrophysical Journal Letters, 2023
Relativistic collisionless shocks are associated with efficient particle acceleration when propagating into weakly magnetized homogeneous media; as the magnetization increases, particle acceleration becomes suppressed.
