First report of a papillomavirus‐induced viral plaque in the mouth of a dog
Veterinary Dermatology, EarlyView.A mass that was histologically consistent with a pigmented viral plaque developed in the mouth of a dog. Canis familiaris papillomavirus type 16, which has been detected in cutaneous viral plaques, was amplified from the lesion. This is the first report of an oral viral plaque in a dog.
