Efficient Discovery of Relaxed Functional Dependencies
Proceedings of the VLDB EndowmentThis paper studies the discovery of relaxed functional dependencies (RFDs). We consider RFDs that relax restrictions in both value equality and constraint satisfaction: treating values as equal if their distance is less than a given similarity threshold, and considering RFDs with violations below a given error threshold as valid.

IEEE Transactions on Plasma Science, 1984This paper discusses an analytical technique for calculating the relaxation in time of the electron distribution function f in an environment in which no perturbing forces act on the electrons. For t = 0, f may have any arbitrary form presumed to be caused by perturbing forces which were not zero during t < 0.

Solid State Communications, 1971It has been found by Douglas and others that the stress relaxation function of glass has the form S = S0 exp[ -(t/τ)α]. Simple phenomenological considerations, utilizing the theory of Brownian motion, can explain this law and yield proper values of α and τ.
