Structural relaxation time and dynamic shear modulus of glassy graphene [PDF]

open access: yesJournal of Non-Crystalline Solids, 2020
We theoretically investigate glass transition behaviors of the glassy graphene in a wide range of temperature, where this amorphous graphene is described as a hard-sphere fluid. The dynamic arrest of a particle is assumingly caused by interactions with its nearest neighbors and surrounding fluid particles.

Mechanical properties of extensive calcified costal cartilage: An experimental study

open access: yesHeliyon, 2023
Background: Autologous costal cartilage is widely used as nasal augmentation or nasal reconstruction material. However, no study has focused on the mechanical difference between no calcified costal cartilage and extensive calcified costal cartilage at ...

Properties of the strain rate sensitivity function produced by the linear viscoelasticity theory and existence of its maximum with respect to strain and strain rate

open access: yesVestnik Samarskogo Gosudarstvennogo Tehničeskogo Universiteta. Seriâ: Fiziko-Matematičeskie Nauki, 2020
Strain rate sensitivity of stress-strain curves family generated by the Boltzmann–Volterra linear viscoelasticity constitutive equation (with an arbitrary relaxation modulus) under uni-axial loadings at constant strain rates is studied analytically as ...

Simultaneous Characterization of Relaxation, Creep, Dissipation, and Hysteresis by Fractional-Order Constitutive Models

open access: yesFractal and Fractional, 2021
We considered relaxation, creep, dissipation, and hysteresis resulting from a six-parameter fractional constitutive model and its particular cases.

Shear modulus in viscoelastic solid $^4$He

open access: yes, 2010
The complex shear modulus of solid $^4$He exhibits an anomaly in the same temperature region where torsion oscillators show a change in period. We propose that the observed stiffening of the shear modulus with decreasing temperature can be well described

Two Integral Representations for the Relaxation Modulus of the Generalized Fractional Zener Model

open access: yesFractal and Fractional, 2023
A class of generalized fractional Zener-type viscoelastic models with general fractional derivatives is considered. Two integral representations are derived for the corresponding relaxation modulus. The first representation is established by applying the

Origin of the tetragonal-to-orthorhombic (nematic) phase transition in FeSe: a combined thermodynamic and NMR study [PDF]

open access: yes, 2014
The nature of the tetragonal-to-orthorhombic structural transition at $T_s\approx90$ K in single crystalline FeSe is studied using shear-modulus, heat-capacity, magnetization and NMR measurements.

Energy Activation Spectrum of Low-Temperature Acoustic Relaxation in High-Purity Iron Single Crystal. Solution of the Inverse Problem of Mechanical Spectroscopy by the Tikhonov Regularization Method

open access: yesEast European Journal of Physics, 2021
When studying the temperature dependences of the acoustic absorption and the modulus of elasticity, absorption peaks are often observed, which correspond to the characteristic step on the temperature dependence of the modulus of elasticity. Such features
