Dynamics of a System of Two Simplest Oscillators with Finite Non-linear Feedbacks

open access: yesМоделирование и анализ информационных систем, 2016
In this paper, we consider a singularly perturbed system of two differential equations with delay which simulates two coupled oscillators with nonlinear feedback. Feedback function is assumed to be finite, piecewise continuous, and with a constant sign. In

Transition of phase response properties and singularity in the circadian limit cycle of cultured cells. [PDF]

open access: yesPLoS ONE, 2017
The circadian system has been regarded as a limit cycle oscillator constructed by the integrated interaction of clock genes and proteins. Here, we investigated a mammalian circadian oscillation geometrically before and after a perturbation.

Enzymatic degradation of biopolymers in amorphous and molten states: mechanisms and applications

open access: yesFEBS Open Bio, EarlyView.
This review explains how polymer morphology and thermal state shape enzymatic degradation pathways, comparing amorphous and molten biopolymer structures. By integrating structure–reactivity principles with insights from thermodynamics and enzyme engineering, it highlights mechanisms that enable efficient polymer breakdown.

A Family of Non-rough Cycles in a System of Two Coupled Delayed Generators

open access: yesМоделирование и анализ информационных систем, 2017
In this paper, we consider the nonlocal dynamics of the model of two coupled oscillators with delayed feedback. This model has the form of a system of two differential equations with delay. The feedback function is non-linear, finite and smooth. The main

Polarization‐resolved femtosecond Vis/IR spectroscopy tailored for resolving weak signals in biological samples using minimal sample volume

open access: yesFEBS Open Bio, EarlyView.
Unique biological samples, such as site‐specific mutant proteins, are available only in limited quantities. Here, we present a polarization‐resolved transient infrared spectroscopy setup with referencing to improve signal‐to‐noise tailored towards tracing small signals. We provide an overview of characterizing the excitation conditions for polarization‐

Evaluation of the Potential of Laser Shock Peening Compared with Cold Expansion for Improving Fatigue Resistance of Riveted Lap Joints of Aerospace Grade 7175 Al Alloy

open access: yesAdvanced Engineering Materials, EarlyView.
This study investigates laser shock peening for enhancing fatigue performance of riveted aerospace aluminum joints. A comparative approach with cold expansion combines fatigue testing and synchrotron X‐ray methods. Integrating mechanical testing with residual stress and strain characterization provides insights into how different treatments affect the ...

Phase Equations for Relaxation Oscillators [PDF]

open access: yesSIAM Journal on Applied Mathematics, 2000
Summary: We use the Malkin theorem [see \textit{I. G. Malkin}, Some problems in nonliner oscillations theory. (Russian) (1956; Zbl 0070.08703)] to derive phase equations for networks of weakly connected relaxation oscillators. We find an explicit formula for the connection functions when the oscillators have one-dimensional slow variables.
