Microengineered Gradient Hydrogels for Mechanobiology

open access: yesAdvanced Healthcare Materials, EarlyView.
Gradient hydrogels are used to mimic the mechanical heterogeneity in native tissues, offering powerful in vitro platforms to study cell‐material interactions in diverse pathophysiological contexts. Here, we present a comprehensive review of the design and experimental considerations for stiffness gradient hydrogels, discussing exemplary achievements ...

3D Soft Hydrogels Induce Human Mesenchymal Stem Cells “Deep” Quiescence

open access: yesAdvanced Healthcare Materials, EarlyView.
Three‐dimensional soft hydrogels mimicking the bone marrow niche induce deep quiescence in human mesenchymal stem cells. Unlike 2D culture, 3D matrices halt proliferation, regulate cell‐cycle and quiescence markers, and downregulate mTORC1 signaling, preserving stem cell phenotype and therapeutic potential ex vivo.

Opinion: Gavage Administration of MXene as a Route‐Specific Alternative to Intravenous Injection into the Bloodstream of Laboratory Animals for Reducing Systemic Nanotoxicity Risks in Immunosuppression and Post‐Transplantation Models with Bile Acid Modification

open access: yesAdvanced Healthcare Materials, EarlyView.
Recent studies reported immunosuppressive properties of specific MXene nanomaterials. Their intravenous injection into the bloodstream of laboratory animals has been a common delivery method to suppress systemic inflammation and prevent transplant rejection.

The Effectiveness of Music Therapy and Relaxation on Blood Pressure and Pulse in the Elderly with Hypertension [PDF]

open access: yesروانشناسی پیری, 2017
When an individual's stress and anxiety exceeds the normal level, the individual loses his or her adaptive power and this causes problems. Non-pharmacological methods such as relaxation and music therapy can be effective in reducing anxiety in patients ...

Recapitulating Endochondral Ossification for Bone Repair: From Development to Engineering Strategy

open access: yesAdvanced Healthcare Materials, EarlyView.
This review summarizes the developmental basis of endochondral ossification (ECO) and its applications in bone tissue engineering (BTE). It first outlines the key biological processes and signaling pathways underlying ECO, then discusses biomaterial‐based engineering strategies derived from these principles, and finally highlights future directions for

Evaluation of the Effect of Respiratory Relaxation on the Severity of Pain Resulting from the Removal of the Chest Tube After CABG

open access: yesمراقبت پرستاری و مامایی ابن سینا, 2019
Introduction: Patients admitted to the intensive care unit express the chest tube removal as one of their worst experiences. In spite of scientific advances, no effective action is taken to reduce the pain due to it.
