Light‐Activatable Nitric Oxide Release via Intramolecular Electron Transfer for Tumor Pyroptosis Induction

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
This work proposes a novel strategy to fabricate unimolecular pyroptosis photoinitiators activated by deep‐red light at low light doses. It relies on a photosensitization mechanism to trigger nitric oxide (NO) release from benzisothiadiazole‐based N‐nitrosanilines without modification of nitro moieties, thereby boosting pyroptosis‐mediated ...

Reflexive therapy as part of relaxation technique [PDF]

open access: yes, 2010
In my bachelor thesis I looked at reflexive therapy as part of relaxation techniques. In the theoretical part, I introduced this method in relation to health and healthy lifestyles, and placed it between one of relaxation techniques - massage.

Enhancing Maturation of Human Neuromuscular Organoids via Electrical Stimulation

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
A framework for on‐demand and non‐invasive exposure of human neuromuscular organoids (NMOs) to electrical stimuli is established to promote their maturation. The robustness and effectiveness of different stimulation regimes are evaluated via thorough characterization of organoid tissue structure and contraction capacity. Chronic electrical stimulation,

Disruption of the SNRPF–DDX24–E2F4 Feedback Loop Uncouples Splicing and Transcriptional Regulation to Suppress Ovarian Cancer Progression

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
This study identifies SNRPF as a critical oncogenic driver in ovarian cancer. By regulating a self‐sustaining SNRPF–DDX24–E2F4 feedback loop through intron retention and nonsense‐mediated decay, SNRPF couples RNA splicing with transcriptional regulation to promote tumor progression.

Visualization of Minute Mechanical-Excitation/Relaxation Wave-front Propagation in Myocardial Tissue [PDF]

open access: yes, 2010
Unlike the case of skeletal muscle, the direction of myocardial contraction does not coincide with the direction of work necessary to eject the intraventricular blood, contributing to great complexity of the wall deformation sequence of cardiac ...

The Effect of Benson Relaxation on Decreasing the Degree of Blood Pressure in Older Adults with Hypertension

open access: yesCritical Medical and Surgical Nursing Journal
Hypertension in the elderly is still a health concern to improve the quality of life of the elderly and prevent sudden death. The aim of this research is to explain how to reduce blood pressure in hypertensive patients using non-pharmacological ...

Highly Flexible and Conformable ZnO/FeGa Magnetoelectric Heterostructures for Skin wound Healing

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
The magnetic field‐induced electric field generated by a highly flexile ZnO(piezoelectric)/FeGa(magnetostrictive) magnetoelectric heterostructure embedded in the low Young's modulus elastomer PDMS has been used to stimulate the wound healing processes.
