Sampling of non‐Gaussian Ensemble Average Propagators for the simulation of diffusion magnetic resonance images

open access: yesMagnetic Resonance in Medicine, Volume 95, Issue 2, Page 1255-1265, February 2026.
Abstract Purpose (a) To design a methodology for drawing random samples of any Ensemble Average Propagator (EAP) (b) to modify the KomaMRI simulator to accommodate them as realistic spin movements to simulate diffusion MRI (dMRI) and (c) to compare these simulations with those based on the Diffusion Tensor (DT) model.

Optimization of MRI Relaxometry for BMD Measurement and Its Correlation with DEXA

open access: yesپزشکی بالینی ابن سینا, 2005
Introduction & Objective : The aim of this study was to optimize MRI conventional protocols for BMD(Bone Mineral Density) measurements using MRI Relaxometry in systems not facilitated with special multi echo protocols. Since, cortical and trabecular bone

ISME—incoherent sampling of multi‐echo data to minimize cardiac‐induced noise in brain maps of R2*$$ {R}_2^{\ast } $$ and magnetic susceptibility

open access: yesMagnetic Resonance in Medicine, Volume 95, Issue 2, Page 897-911, February 2026.
Abstract Purpose Maps of the MRI parameters R2*$$ {\mathrm{R}}_2^{\ast } $$ and magnetic susceptibility (χ$$ \chi $$) enable the investigation of microscopic tissue changes in brain disease. However, cardiac‐induced signal instabilities increase the variability of brain maps of R2*$$ {\mathrm{R}}_2^{\ast } $$ and χ$$ \chi $$.

Asphalt-Binder Mixtures Evaluated by T1 NMR Relaxometry

open access: yesPhyschem
Asphalt pavements make up a majority of the essential transportation systems in the US. Asphalt mixtures age and degrade over time, reducing the pavement performance. Pavement performance critically depends on the aging of asphalt binder.

Fast 3D UTE in vivo T1 and T2*$$ {\mathrm{T}}_2^{\ast } $$ mapping of fast relaxing knee tissues at 3 T

open access: yesMagnetic Resonance in Medicine, Volume 95, Issue 2, Page 693-705, February 2026.
Abstract Purpose UTE MR imaging captures quantitative signals in fast‐relaxing tissues, enabling anatomical visualization and quantitative assessment of T1 and T2*$$ {\mathrm{T}}_2^{\ast } $$ relaxation times. However, the clinical application of quantitative UTE MRI is limited by long acquisition times.

Frequency‐Dependent Diffusion–Relaxation Distribution MRI: Scan–Rescan Reproducibility Ex Vivo and Caveats

open access: yesNMR in Biomedicine, Volume 39, Issue 2, February 2026.
Frequency‐dependent multidimensional (ωMD) diffusion‐relaxation MRI captures microstructural information beyond conventional voxel‐averaged metrics. Here, we evaluate ωMD‐MRI reproducibility in ex vivo mouse brains using a high‐performance micro‐imaging system.

T1ρ$$ {}_{1\rho } $$ as a Biomarker for IDH1 Mutation Status in a Glioma Mouse Model

open access: yesNMR in Biomedicine, Volume 39, Issue 2, February 2026.
Mice bearing IDH1‐mutant and ‐wild‐type glioma underwent quantitative T1ρ$$ {T}_{1\rho } $$ imaging over the course of tumour development. It was found that while IDH1‐wild‐type tumours present similar T1ρ$$ {T}_{1\rho } $$ values as the brain, IDH1‐mutant tumours exhibit significantly higher T1ρ$$ {T}_{1\rho } $$ values compared with the brain. T1ρ$$ {

Ab Initio Molecular Dynamics Study of Quadrupolar Spin Relaxation in an Ionic Liquid

open access: yesJournal of Computational Chemistry, Volume 47, Issue 3, 30 January 2026.
This study presents a methodology for describing the relaxation of nuclear spins (with I > 1/2), applicable to ionic liquids of a general nature. Based on ab initio molecular dynamics, we demonstrate the importance of explicit solvation in calculating the relaxation times of the quadrupolar mechanism.

Time domain NMR evaluation of poly(vinyl alcohol) xerogels

open access: yesPolímeros
Poly(vinyl alcohol) (PVA)-based chemically cross-linked xerogels, both neat and loaded with nanoparticulate hydrophilic silica (SiO2), were obtained and characterized mainly through time domain NMR experiments (TD-NMR). Fourier-transform infrared (FT-IR)
