Luminescence and Optical Properties of Relaxor Ferroelectrics
Ferroelectrics, 2005The optical absorption spectrum, luminescence and photoconductivity on single crystals PbMg1/3Nb2/3O3 and on ceramics Pb0.91La0.09(Zr0.65Ti0.35)O 3 are investigated in the wide temperature range. The luminescence spectrum correlates with the photoconductivity spectrum.

Ferroelectrics, 1994
Abstract Dielectric properties of relaxor ferroelectrics are characterized by giant and temperature-insensitive dielectric constants and large frequency dependence (dielectric relaxation), and therefore useful for high permittivity capacitors. Relaxor ferroelectrics also reveal superior characteristics in electrostriction and electrooptic effects ...

Dynamics of the freezing process in relaxor ferroelectrics
Physical Review B, 1995The dynamics of the freezing process in relaxor ferroelectrics are investigated by Monte Carlo computer simulation. The concepts of ``frozen dipole'' and ``slow dipole'' are proposed according to the flipping frequency during the observation time of simulation.

Piezoelectricity and ferroelectric cluster size in relaxor ferroelectrics
Applied Physics Letters, 2007The dipole configuration and electromechanical behaviors of dipole-disorder induced relaxor ferroelectrics (RFs) are investigated using a phenomenological model. In comparison to normal ferroelectric lattice, the RF lattice shows spatially inhomogeneous cluster configuration but no breaking of the dipole orientation symmetry is identified.

Soft modes in relaxor ferroelectrics
Phase Transitions, 1981Abstract The fact that the polarization-related electrostrictive coefficients Q in the relaxor type ferro-electrics are almost an order of magnitude smaller than in most normal ferroelectric perovskites can be explained under the assumption that the temperature dependence of the soft-mode TO phonon frequency is given as ω2 TO = A(T — Tc ), where the ...

Relaxor ferroelectrics with lanthanum perovskites
ISAF '92: Proceedings of the Eighth IEEE International Symposium on Applications of Ferroelectrics, 2003Lanthanum perovskite compounds La(B/sub 1/2//sup I/B/sub 1/2//sup II/)O/sub 3/ (B/sup I/=Ni,Co,Mg; B/sup II/=Ti) are studied as candidates for stabilizers to form perovskite-type Pb(Zn/sub 1/3/Nb/sub 2/3/)O/sub 3/ (PZN)-based ceramics. A conventional sintering technique is used to prepare ceramic samples with PZN-based solid solution. The ratios of the

A new relaxor ferroelectric, Ba2LaTi2Nb3O15
Journal of Materials Chemistry, 2002Ceramic samples of the tetragonal tungsten bronze Ba2LaTi2Nb3O15, containing B-site disorder of Ti,Nb, have a maximum permittivity of 250–300 at Tc ≈ 200 K and frequency-dependent permittivity below Tc, characteristic of relaxor behaviour.

Depolarization in a photosensitive relaxor ferroelectric
Physics of the Solid State, 2007This paper reports a study of depolarization of a photosensitive relaxor ferroelectric Sr0.61Ba0.39Nb2O6 with 0.44 at. % La and 0.023 at. % Ce impurities at room temperature and under illumination of up to 0.22 mW/cm2 in the absorption band of the crystal.
