La-doped (Bi0.5Na0.41K0.09)TiO3 ceramics were synthesized using a conventional solid-state reaction route. X-ray diffraction and electric-field-induced polarization studies revealed a phase transformation from a ferroelectric to a relaxor with increasing

Magnetic tunnel junctions (MTJs) using MgO tunnel barriers face challenges of high resistance‐area product and low tunnel magnetoresistance (TMR). To discover alternative materials, Literature Enhanced Ab initio Discovery (LEAD) is developed. The LEAD‐predicted materials are theoretically evaluated, showing that MTJs with dusting of ScN or TiN on ...

A fully flexible ion‐gel‐gated graphene‐channel transistor driven by a triboelectric nanogenerator enables self‐powered tactile sensing and synaptic learning. Mimicking spike‐rate‐dependent plasticity, the device exhibits frequency‐selective potentiation and depression, supporting rate‐coded neuromorphic computation even under flex.

Topological Point Defects in Relaxor Ferroelectrics
First-principles-based effective Hamiltonian simulations are used to reveal the hidden connection between topological defects (hedgehogs and antihedgehogs) and relaxor behavior. Such defects are discovered to predominantly lie at the border of polar nanoregions in both Ba(Zr_{0.5}Ti_{0.5})O_{3} (BZT) and Pb(Sc_{0.5}Nb_{0.5})O_{3} (PSN) systems, and the

Composition and grain size-driven ferroelectric-relaxor crossover in Ba(Zr,Ti)O3 ceramics [PDF]
First Ba(ZrxTi1-x)O3 (BZT) ceramics with various compositions prepared by solid state, with high density, homogeneous microstructures and grain sizes in the range (0.7–4) μm were studied.

Static and dynamic polar nanoregions in relaxor ferroelectric Ba(Ti1-xSnx)O3 system at high temperature [PDF]
Relaxor ferroelectrics are materials exhibiting dielectric dispersions in their maximum permittivity temperature without macroscopic phase transition into a ferroelectric state.
