Degrees of Freedom for the MIMO Multi-way Relay Channel [PDF]

open access: yes2013 IEEE International Symposium on Information Theory, 2013
This paper investigates the degrees of freedom (DoF) of the L-cluster, K-user MIMO multi-way relay channel, where users in each cluster wish to exchange messages within the cluster, and they can only communicate through the relay. A novel DoF upper bound

Quantum Relay Channels

open access: yes2025 IEEE International Symposium on Information Theory (ISIT)
Communication over a fully quantum relay channel is considered. We establish three bounds based on different coding strategies, i.e., partial decode-forward, measure-forward, and assist-forward. Using the partial-decode forward strategy, the relay decodes part of the information, while the other part is decoded without the relay's help.

Optimal Relay Selection for the Parallel Hybrid RF/FSO Relay Channel: Non-Buffer-Aided and Buffer-Aided Designs [PDF]

open access: yesIEEE Transactions on Communications, 2016
Hybrid radio frequency (RF)/free space optical (FSO) systems are among the candidate enabling technologies for the next generation of wireless networks, since they benefit from both the high data rates of the FSO subsystem and the high reliability of the

Buffer-Aided Relaying For The Two-Hop Full-Duplex Relay Channel With Self-Interference [PDF]

open access: yesIEEE Transactions on Wireless Communications, 2016
In this paper, we investigate the fading two-hop full-duplex (FD) relay channel with self-interference, which is comprised of a source, an FD relay impaired by self-interference, and a destination, where a direct source-destination link does not exist ...

Beamforming for Dual-Hop MIMO AF Relay Networks With Channel Estimation Error and Feedback Delay

open access: yesIEEE Access, 2017
This paper concerns the beamforming (BF) design for a dual-hop multiple-input multiple-output (MIMO) amplify-and-forward (AF) relay network. Both a general antenna configuration and imperfect channel state information are taking into consideration, where

A Relay Selection Method for Battery-dependent Relay Nodes [PDF]

open access: yesJisuanji gongcheng, 2017
Due to the fast power consumption and even the reduction of network lifetime caused by the frequent data forwarding for the battery-dependent relay nodes with higher channel qualities in collaborative communication network,a relay selection method is ...
