All‐in‐One Analog AI Hardware: On‐Chip Training and Inference with Conductive‐Metal‐Oxide/HfOx ReRAM Devices

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
An all‐in‐one analog AI accelerator is presented, enabling on‐chip training, weight retention, and long‐term inference acceleration. It leverages a BEOL‐integrated CMO/HfOx ReRAM array with low‐voltage operation (<1.5 V), multi‐bit capability over 32 states, low programming noise (10 nS), and near‐ideal weight transfer.

Crucial role of side walls for granular surface flows: consequences for the rheology

open access: yes, 2005
In this paper we study the steady uniform flows that develop when granular material is released from a hopper on top of a static pile in a channel. We more specifically focus on the role of side walls by carrying out experiments in setup of different ...

Side‐Chains Engineered Self‐Assembly of Ortho‐Benzodipyrrole‐Based Acceptors: Comprehensive Exploration of Structure‐Interface‐Photovoltaics Correlations

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
The side‐chain configuration in the bay region of C‐shaped ortho‐benzodipyrrole‐based non‐fullerene acceptors plays a crucial role in their self‐assembly, single‐crystal structures, and optoelectronic properties. The closely correlated molecular structure and performance underscore the importance of minimizing A–A self‐aggregation and enhancing D–A ...

Hamdan v. Rumseld: The Legal Academy Goes to Practice [PDF]

open access: yes, 2006
Hamdan v. Rumsfeld is a rare Supreme Court rebuke to the President during armed conflict. The time is not yet right to tell all of the backstory of the case, but it is possible to offer some preliminary reflections on how the case was litigated, the ...

Ladder‐Type Benzene‐Perylene Dyes with Efficient Laser Properties in the Near‐IR by Detracting/Activating Low/High Frequency Vibronic Modes

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
The NNR‐n series of oligomeric nanographenes delivers exceptional emission performance. This work shows that this performance is originated by their ladder‐type structure, which effectively deactivates low‐frequency vibronic modes. This deactivation neglects the main pathway for non‐emissive deactivation, even in the near‐infrared region. The potential

Evolution and Revolution: The Drama of Realtime Complementarity [PDF]

open access: yes, 1972
This article is by design a response to Alastair M. Taylor's "For Philosophers and Scientists: A General Systems Paradigm." That work is an advance over stage theories. But its focus on modernization tacitly accepts marginalization.
