Direct Consolidation of Copper–Graphene Composite by Rotary Swaging
The applicability of the rotary swaging method for preparation of electroconductive copper–graphene composite by direct consolidation of powders is proven. The consolidated material features advantageous microstructure featuring fine grains and twins, with homogeneous distribution of graphene, primarily along the twin boundaries, which contribute to ...

Philosophy of engineering reliability [PDF]
Reliability is a complex interplay of design, environment, test equipment, and maintenance skills amongst other influential factors. In this first part of a two-part article, practical field reliability—a result of subjective processes of predictability, assessability, education, and probability evaluation—is discussed in detail.

Design for reliability - a Reliability Engineering Framework
2010 11th International Conference on Electronic Packaging Technology & High Density Packaging, 2010More and more, reliability is seen as a key differentiator in an extremely competitive globalized market. Recent examples from the automotive sector illustrate very well how serious the impact from field problems can be, more in particular when safety risks are possibly involved: liability claims, recall actions, negative effect on the market share of ...

Lean Reliability Engineering [PDF]
AbstractMany reliability engineering activities practised today cannot contribute to the objective of reliability engineering, which is the prevention of failure. Lean is a management philosophy with the objective of maximising value by removal of waste from all activities. Waste is defined as any non‐value added activity or process.

Evolution of VLSI reliability engineering
Quality and Reliability Engineering International, 1990AbstractProjection indicates that by the turn of the century microcomputer chips will have 100 million transistors and failure rates of less than 10 FIT. Traditional accelerated product life tests and wafer level reliability measurement techniques being developed at present will have severe limitations in resolving the 10 FIT failure rate of complex ...

Decision theory for Reliability engineers and Reliability Managers
2014 Reliability and Maintainability Symposium, 2014Reliability engineers are quite often focused on mission effectiveness, which is the most concise definition of Reliability. Reliability engineers have to understand causal relationships and have to make numerous decisions that affect future actions. In this role they impact a wide range of resources, schedules, and decisions made by others and are at ...
