The Simulation Index: A reliability study

Brain Injury, 1992
The Simulation Index was derived from 15 error types on the WAIS-R and WMS occurring with a high degree of specificity in a criterion simulation group (n = 16) and a further five error types specific to a group of patients sustaining severe head injury (n = 16).

A reliability index for models

Ecological Modelling, 1981
Abstract Since the prediction of environmental changes depends heavily on mathematical models, environmental planners have a definite need for a general test that can be easily applied to determine the reliability of a model or to choose between available models. In this paper a ‘reliability index’ for a model is defined. This index is a number k ⩾ 1

The Barthel ADL Index: A reliability study

International Disability Studies, 1988
The Barthel Index is a valid measure of disability. In this study we investigated the reliability of four different methods of obtaining the score in 25 patients: self-report, asking a trained nurse who had worked with the patient for at least one shift, and separate testing by two skilled observers within 72 hours of admission.

Reliability of the Modified Foot Posture Index

Journal of the American Podiatric Medical Association, 2008
Background: The Foot Posture Index (FPI) has been advocated as a simple and convenient tool to assess static foot posture in a clinical setting. Although published studies have indicated that the FPI has good intrarater reliability and moderate interrater reliability, these studies were conducted on a previous version of the tool that used ...

The Edmans ADL index: Validity and reliability

Disability and Rehabilitation, 1997
The Edmans ADL index was developed to assess functional abilities in stroke patients, including the activities necessary to enable a person to live independently at home, and graded to enable staff to monitor patient's progress over time. Content validity was established by comparing the Edmans ADL index with other published ADL assessments.

Inter-Rater Reliability of the Strain Index

Journal of Occupational and Environmental Hygiene, 2004
The Strain Index is one of several tools available to evaluate exposure to musculoskeletal stressors in the workplace in order to predict whether workers are at an increased risk of developing distal upper extremity disorders. The purpose of this study was to determine the inter-rater reliability of the Strain Index.

RELIABILITY OF AN INDEX OF CHILD CHARACTERISTICS

Developmental Medicine & Child Neurology, 1993
SUMMARYThe ABlLlTlES index provides a means to describe nine areas of functional abilities and disabilities. In this study, the authors examined the agreement between ratings made by 130 parents and teachers, 130 parents and specialists, and 125 teachers and specialists.

Generalized Second Moment Reliability Index

Journal of Structural Mechanics, 1979
ABSTRACT A crucial property of any measure of structural reliability should be comparativeness. With this point in mind this paper discusses some well-known versions of so-called reliability indices. Such reliability indices, defined by use of second moment information, have been used for the last decade, specifically within safety code committee work.

Reliability of the periapical index scoring system

European Journal of Oral Sciences, 1988
Abstract — Data accumulated in one methodological and two longitudinal clinical studies employing the periapical index (PAI) scoring system were analyzed to assess the usefulness and reliability of the PAI system. More than 93% of pairs of PAI scores were either identical or deviated from each other with one step only for intra‐ and interexaminer ...
