Reliability Confidence Indicator

2020 Annual Reliability and Maintainability Symposium (RAMS), 2020
The capability of a product to meet the expected reliability targets is extremely difficult to measure during the product development phases. Unlike weight, power consumption, or any other physical or performance parameters, there are no standard defined means to measure the status of the reliability during the various phases of the product development.

Reliability indicators

Quality and Reliability Engineering International, 1986
AbstractThis is a review paper. It describes the state‐of‐the‐art of the research on reliability indicators for either electronic or mechanical components. Typical component failure patterns are presented and discussed. The concept of component screening using reliability indicators is then outlined.

IEEE reliability indices standards

IEEE Industry Applications Magazine, 2005
This work discusses "beta method", a statistically based methodology that classifies electric power distribution reliability data into day-to-day and MED (major event days) performance. Further the article discusses the results of the evaluation of small utility data and encourages more utilities to use this methodology to determine MEDs and submit the

Fuzzy Indices of Document Reliability

2007
This paper presents a first step toward the formalization of the concept of document reliability in the context of Information Retrieval (and Information Filtering). Our proposal is based on the hypothesis that the evaluation of the relevance of a document can also depend on the concept of reliability of a document.

Distribution system reliability indices

IEEE Transactions on Power Delivery, 1989
Distribution system reliability assessment is discussed. The assessment consists of measuring past performance and predicting future performance. The results obtained from two surveys dealing with US and Canadian utility activities are discussed, focusing on service continuity data collection and utilization.
