HSE University Journal of Art & DesignThe attire of sacred images from pastiglia is an original phenomenon that has not yet received special research in Russian art history. The article analyzes works from different eras; it examines the technological and artistic features of pastiglia, which has been used in Italy, Cyprus and Sinai since the 13th century.
