Metal Sculptural Reliefs: 'Metal Paintings'
Leonardo, 1977S. Buchanan’s work, progressing from standing metal sculpture to metal wall reliefs, is described. He exploits the contrasting surface texture and lustre of steel, chrome-plated steel and aluminum. Often he modifies surfaces by grinding and polishing to achieve painterly qualities.

A Sculptured Relief of the Roman Period at Colinton
Proceedings of the Society of Antiquaries of Scotland, 1918The stone was built into the wall of a garden and was examined in situ. It is possibly part of the upper half of an altar comprising a very substantial remnant of a dedication to the threefold group of " mother goddesses," whose worship was so popular in certain districts during the earliest centuries of the Christian era.

2005Abstract The site of the Mausoleum at Halicarnassus, one of the Seven Wonders of the World, was rediscovered and partially excavated by C. T. Newton's expedition in 1865-6, and has been cleared completely by the Danish Archaeological Expedition to Bodrum (1966-76).
