ABSTRACT The adjectival suffix ‐alis and its allomorph ‐aris are very common in the anatomical nomenclature; however, rules governing differential usage, such as ‐aris substituting for ‐alis following an ‐l‐, leave many exceptions. ABSTRACT Trema micranthum (L.) Blume is a species from the Cannabaceae botanical family, present all over the tropics.
