Flexible Implantable Silicon Carbide Multi‐Electrode Array (MEA) for Cell Multichannel Recording and Cell Ablation

open access: yesAdvanced Materials Technologies, EarlyView.
Flexible silicon carbide (SiC) microelectrode arrays enable high‐fidelity, multichannel cell extracellular recording and precise localized ablation. SiC has been extensively evaluated to persist long‐term in chronic physiological conditions while remaining robust, with excellent electrical and electrochemical stability.

Religious Affiliation Is Not Enough: Considering the Religious Practices and Self-Identification of Seniors in Switzerland When Measuring the Links Between Religiosity and Well-Being

open access: yesReligions
Previous studies have shown that religion and spirituality can provide resources to cope with aging and impact the well-being of older adults. However, whether religiosity and well-being are linked depends on how they are measured.

IL‐7R‐Enriched Extracellular Vesicles From the Thymus Drive Colitis via Promoting Neutrophil Extracellular Trap Formation

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Inflammatory bowel disease (IBD) pathogenesis remains unclear. This study reveals that thymus‐originated IL‐7R‐enriched extracellular vesicles exacerbate colitis by promoting neutrophil extracellular traps via a thymus‐gut axis, uncovering an inter‐organ communication mechanism in inflammatory bowel disease pathogenesis.

Cysteine Redox State Governs the Condensation Pathway of Hendra Virus W Protein and Differentially Impacts Type I IFN and NF‐κB Signaling

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
The cysteine redox state of the Hendra virus W (WHeV) protein controls assembly into fibrils or amorphous aggregates, with residues 2–29 required for fibrillation. In cells, WHeV forms different types of nuclear condensates. Impaired ability to form redox‐sensitive, non‐filamentous condensates reduces WHeV inhibition of the NF‐κB pathway, while it ...

Could Wealth Make Religiosity Less Needed for Subjective Well-Being? A Dual-Path Effect Hypothesis of Religious Faith Versus Practice

open access: yesFrontiers in Psychology, 2020
Religiosity is important for religious people to maintain their subjective well-being (SWB). We propose a dual-path effect hypothesis to explore different working mechanisms of religious faith and practice on benefiting people’s SWB.

Ethical Precision in Nanoscale Brain Interfacing

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
As brain interfaces approach the nanoscale, precision no longer only measures—it knows, predicts, and potentially reshapes the mind. This work argues that traditional ethics fails under such conditions and proposes a shift toward continuous, operation‐based governance using the recovery–discovery framework to track, constrain, and responsibly steer ...
