Study on Application of Two Different Magnetic Materials in Rotor of Cylindrical Synchronous Generator to Produce Reluctance Torque

open access: yesIranian Journal of Electrical and Electronic Engineering, 2015
Synchronous generators are of two type’s salient pole type and round rotor type. The load angle curve of a cylindrical rotor synchronous machine comprises a single sine term only while in salient pole synchronous generators, power-angle ...

Fundamental Consideration on Switched Reluctance Generators.

open access: yesJournal of the Magnetics Society of Japan, 2003
Switched reluctance motors (SRMs) have various desirable features, such as simple and strong construction, high reliability, low cost, and ease of maintenance, as they have no rotor windings and no permanent magnets. These features make SRMs suitable for use in super-high-speed generators used in devices such as micro gas turbines.

The Challenge of Handling Structured Missingness in Integrated Data Sources

open access: yesAdvanced Intelligent Discovery, EarlyView.
As data integration becomes ever more prevalent, a new research question that emerges is how to handle missing values that will inevitably arise in these large‐scale integrated databases? This missingness can be described as structured missingness, encompassing scenarios involving multivariate missingness mechanisms and deterministic, nonrandom ...

Machine Learning‐Enhanced Random Matrix Theory Design for Human Immunodeficiency Virus Vaccine Development

open access: yesAdvanced Intelligent Discovery, EarlyView.
This study integrates random matrix theory (RMT) and principal component analysis (PCA) to improve the identification of correlated regions in HIV protein sequences for vaccine design. PCA validation enhances the reliability of RMT‐derived correlations, particularly in small‐sample, high‐dimensional datasets, enabling more accurate detection of ...

Self‐Sensing Artificial‐Muscle‐Empowered Humanlike Perception, Interaction, and Positioning

open access: yesAdvanced Intelligent Systems, Volume 7, Issue 3, March 2025.
The proposed self‐sensorized artificial muscle (SSAM) can sense its length change as small as 0.01 mm via a seamlessly integrated multi‐segment induction coil. The SSAM provides accurate length information regardless of its loadings, driving pressure, or muscle design, adequate for robust data‐driven feedback control.

Modelling, Simulation and Comparative Study between Switched Reluctance Generator 8x6 and Switched Reluctance Generator 12x8

open access: yesRE&PQJ
This paper presents the modelling, simulation and comparative study between switched reluctance generator 8x6 and switched reluctance generator 12x8. During work, the structural properties of the rotor and stator laminates of these machines are exposed. This information was used to perform mathematical modelling for both topologies.

Comparison of Interior, V-Shaped, Surface Mounted Permanent Magnet and Permanent Magnet Assisted Synchronous Reluctance Generators Used as a Wave Energy Converter Generator

open access: yes, 2018
In this work, interior mounted, v-shaped, surface mounted permanent magnet generators and a permanent magnet assisted synchronous reluctance generator are used as wave energy converter generators and are compared, both from performance and economical ...

Choice experiments on land managers' participation in environmental programs: A systematic review and meta‐analysis of estimate validity

open access: yesAmerican Journal of Agricultural Economics, EarlyView.
Abstract Discrete choice experiments are increasingly being used to estimate land managers' willingness to accept participation in incentive‐based environmental programs. This is a specific application of discrete choice experiments: the estimation of willingness to accept for a private good (program participation) where respondents have to make trade ...
