Performance of Synchronous Reluctance Generators with Series and Shunt Stator Connections
This paper reports the performance of series- and shunt-connected self-excited reluctance generators (SERG). In addition to the two stator connections, an analysis was carried out on rotor configurations (with and without a cage) a combination resulting ...

Why human connection is the true metric of research success
Human‐centred mentorship can be shaped by mentor attributes, actions, intrinsic drive and career ambition. Drawing on reflections across Singapore and France, as well as workshop insights from FEBS‐IUBMB ENABLE 2024, this article shows that human‐centred mentorship creates the conditions for sustainable growth, well‐being and retention in research ...

Long‐term hippocampal alterations and cognitive impairment in a murine model of surgical sepsis
Using a mouse model of surgical sepsis, we tested long‐term memory and analyzed the transcriptome of single cells isolated from the hippocampus. Survivor mice showed worse memory, loss of certain brain cell subpopulations, and abnormal immune cell activity—suggesting that post‐sepsis brain alterations may be linked to cognitive deficits.
