Tailoring Multilevel‐Stable Remanence States in Exchange‐Biased System through Spin‐Orbit Torque
Advanced Functional Materials, 2020Multilevel remanence states have potential applications in ultra‐high‐density storage and neuromorphic computing. Continuous tailoring of the multilevel remanence states by spin‐orbit torque (SOT) is reported in perpendicularly magnetized Pt/Co/IrMn ...

Low-Temperature Data Remanence Attacks Against Intrinsic SRAM PUFs
Euromicro Symposium on Digital Systems Design, 2018In this work, we present the first systematic study of data remanence effects on an intrinsic Static Random Access Memory Physical Unclonable Function (SRAM PUF) implemented on a commercial off-the-shelf (COTS) device in the temperature range between ...

Honey bees orient to the earth's magnetic field. This ability may be associated with a region of transversely oriented magnetic material in the front of the abdomen. The magnetic moment apparently develops in the pupal state and persists in the adults.

Thermochemical Remanent Magnetization and Thermal Remanent Magnetization: Comparison in a Basalt
Science, 1970Recent studies have shown that the remanent magnetization carried by an extrusive igneous rock may not be entirely thermal remanent magnetization (TRM). Some may be thermochemical remanent magnetization (TCRM) acquired by the rock at temperatures at least as low as 300°C during oxidation of the contained titanomagnetite grains.
