Assessment of the Arsenic Removal From Water Using Lanthanum Ferrite. [PDF]

open access: yesChemistryOpen, 2021
The catalytic performance of lanthanum ferrite LaFeO3 to remove arsenic from water has been investigated for the first time. Fast complete oxidation of As(III) was achieved in 60 min under 254 nm. It is also noteworthy that, after 30 min, >90 % of the initial As(III) is removed. The mechanism of As(III) oxidation to As(V) is discussed.

Methods involved in the treatment of four representative pharmaceuticals in hospital wastewater using sonochemical and biological processes [PDF]

open access: yesMethodsX, 2023
A primary pollution source by pharmaceuticals is hospital wastewater (HWW). Herein, the methods involved in the action of a biological system (BS, aerobic activated sludge) or a sonochemical treatment (US, 375 kHz and 30.8 W), for degrading four relevant

Bimetallic M–Cu (M = Ag, Au, Ni) Nanoparticles Supported on γAl2O3-CeO2 Synthesized by a Redox Method Applied in Wet Oxidation of Phenol in Aqueous Solution and Petroleum Refinery Wastewater [PDF]

open access: yesNanomaterials, 2021
Three bimetallic catalysts of the type M–Cu with M = Ag, Au and Ni supports were successfully prepared by a two-step synthesized method using Cu/Al2O3-CeO2 as the base monometallic catalyst.

Data on treatment of nafcillin and ampicillin antibiotics in water by sonochemistry [PDF]

open access: yesData in Brief, 2020
Ampicillin and nafcillin antibiotics were treated by high frequency ultrasound (at 375 kHz and 24.4 W). Degradations followed pseudo-first order kinetics, which constants were k: 0.0323 min−1 for AMP and k: 0.0550 min−1 for NAF.
